Drivers side sun visor will unexpectedly drop down from the horizontal position when vehicle goes over minor bump impairing the drivers vision. sudden and unexpected loss of visibility can result in a major accident as the driver is unable to see in front of them until they are able to push the visor back up to the horizontal position.

Faulty sun visor drops easily when going over minor bump. it can easily cause an accident or crash when distracted to raise the sun visor to the normal position. this is a problem in nissan murano's everywhere. i am not sure how this has not been a recall yet.

I was driving on the interstate at 65 mph and heard a popping sound. my seat moved and then it started rocking. it scared me so bad that i pulled off the road to see what happened. i could tell that something serious had broken and drove back home to find that the weld had come apart. i felt like i was driving, sitting in a rocking chair. this is a serious problem and should be fixed and paid for by nissan. i have never owned a vehicle that the seat broke like this. we have had some of our cars and trucks over 15 years! if this is not a recall problem then nissan has lost me and my family as customers for life.

While driving on a major interstate, with my visor pushed forward toward the windshield to block the sun, the driver's side visor falls into my line of vision. this causes me to swerve while entering a curve and just miss another vehicle. i quickly push up the visor and to my dismay, it will not stay upright; neither upright towards the windshield nor upright towards the ceiling. the dealership states this is not a recall and is not covered under the warranty. i have looked at multiple threads and spoken with multiple friends who have all had this same issue with the 1st generation nissan muranos (2003-2008). this is a safety issue and both driver's side and passenger's side visors should be recalled and replaced before someone gets hurt!

The sun visor drops down and blocks view while driving. the visor will not stay up and so we have to hold it while driving.

I am filing a complaint on the sun visor. both of the visors, driver side and passenger side would not stay up, flopped down, due to how outrageous the prices are, i have been velcro/hot gluing it to keep it up. it has been over two years and i just now succumbed to purchasing new visors. it is ridiculous that a consumer has to pay $386.63 for parts that is clearly a defect from nissan. safety issue wise, our head hits the visors as it would not stay up. nissan really need to have a recall on this issue and fix/repay what we have purchased. i am not the first and i know i will not the last to complain about this issue. i am seeking restitutions, and i will go to any consumer complain site to spread this issue until there are results. not a happy nissan customer, mr. le

 1. the right front door lock is not locking/unlocking with the remote nor either of the interior buttons. 2. the rear hatch is not locking/unlocking also. this is a huge safety issues. being unable to open the right front door without leaning over from the driver's seat or using the key can make it nearly impossible to enter or exit the vehicle in an emergency. having researched this online, this is an ongoing issue with the nissan and infinity suvs. nissan is aware of the issue simply because of the availability of the replacement parts being instock at the dealerships. nissan needs to take responsibilty for the safety of owners and users of their products. there should be a notice sent to their dealers and, when the locking mechanism fails, needs to be replaced by nissan at their expense.

The door lock on the front passenger door may or may not lock or unlock with the key remote or the door lock buttons on the outside latch and inside door. this becomes a safety issue while driving, as i like to keep my doors locked in the event of an attempted carjacking.

I hate to complain and i've never filed a complaint before, but some type of motion has to be enforced with the nissan murano line of vehicles.

Seal on nissan murano 2007 with 77,000 miles malfuntiontioned/exploded casuing oil to leak damaging the transfer case. both my mechanic and the serivce area of the dealership mentioned that they had not seen anything like this. dealership came back with a quote of about $4,500; car is not under warranty. i told them not to service it at this time; that was unacceptable and should not happen on a 3 year car despite the mileage; nissan guarantees 100,000. i took my case to the coproate office in tennessee where they set up file. valerie, the regional specialist contacted me within about a week and explained that since it was no longer under warranty they would not offer any assistance with the cost. i explained that whether it was under warrnty or not was not the issue; the problem is that nissan has know about this for quite some time and decided not to do anything about it; i.e. recall the car. valerie was extremely rude and unprofessional and quite belligerent. as i tried to get a manager she would not cooperate. i have retained a lawyer and i am also considering filing under the lemon law. nissan knew about the problem; has no concern of the safety of their vehicle and/or the consumer. i would appreciate it if you would research. there are a number of complaints that i have already found related to the transfer case. thank you in advance for your assistance.

Driver side sun visor on 2007 nissan murano is broken, causing sun visor to flop down while driving car. this is a safety issue. it not only startles me while i am driving, but it also blocks my view of the road. the nissan dealership in my area charges $404 for the part alone and an additional charge if they also install it. i have reported this to the nissan motor corporation.

I brought my car in for an oil change and when i picked up the car i was told my lifter link was broken. i informed the dealer that it was not like that prior to bringing car in. he told me nissan murano had a history of this defect. i was never told of this defect. i question why the dealer failed to tell me this upon leasing the 2007 murano and secondly how it just happened to break during a visit.

This is regarding a 2007 nissan murano. the sun visor on the drivers side does not lock in the up position. this causes it to fall donw into the field of view and is a definate safety issue especially when driving on rough roads as it can block you vision without any warning. manufacturer and dealers will not cover this repair once out of warrenty and it costs upwards of $400 to do the repair. i have investigated this and have even heard from dealers that this is a common occurance with these vehicles all the way back to 2003. this should definately be a saftey recall as it could cause an unexpected accident
