While driving in middle of the street, suddenly car stopped driving. had the car towed to repair shop. it seems there is a coolant leak into transmission that caused the issue. however nissan's extended warranty only allows up to 100000 miles or 10 years whichever comes first. since my mileage is over that, nissan will not cover any repairs.

The fuel gauge on my 2005 nissan pathfinder is not working. this is a known issue by nissan and has issued a recall for some 2005 pathfinders however my vehicle is not included. this is big safety issue as i am unable to be certain of fuel remaining in my tank and could run out of gas (or my children that drive the car). i don't understand how nissan can issue a recall for some but not all vehicles with this issue as it is a very dangerous issue. *tr

Many instances of the car jerking, jerking forward when trying to slow down or stop. the rpm reving up to dangerous levels for no reason and trouble driving uphill. my car has become a major safety issue. first the fuel gauge stopped working, which caused me to run out of gas and stalling in the middle of an intersection. next, my car stalled for no reason while driving, that was repaired, something to do with a relay switch, now the transmission issues, possible radiator failure and the need of a new catalytic convertor in a car with 100k miles.... that's insane !!! someone is going to be seriously hurt or killed if they don't fix these vehicles and people don't have thousands of dollars laying around to fix it. so, no food, rent or bills being paid for over a month just to pay for repairs is even more of a hardship to families. please help us before something happens. thanks !!!

Driving vehicle and suddenly lurched forward and wouldn't drive. taken to shop and said defect in radiator allowed coolant into transmission ruining both components. this is a known complaint which nissan fails to address. they uped their warranty when problem was seen but mostly happens outside of the warranty. i spoke with a customer service rep and she said there was nothing they could do even though they are aware of the problem.

It started with the heat in my 2005 pathfinder not wanting to heat up unless going over 55 mph. then sudden jerking with the vehicle when going over speeds of 40. had transmission flushed and worked for about 6 months. then as my husband was driving on the road it began to lose acceleration and came to a stop. we had the car towed and it hasn't started since? the dealership told us the transmission was completely out. they said it was due to coolant leaking into the transmission. repairs are going to be $5100. the car has 92,000 miles! still waiting to hear if nissan manufacturers are going to fix the damage. this is a dangerous vehicle to drive because when it goes out it will completely go out and if you are on the highway this is very scary!! *tr

There is a nissan manufacturer defect of faulty radiators that are causing radiator coolant to leak into and destroy the transmission of the vehicles and ends up killing valves, seals and the torque converter on 2005-2010 nissan pathfinders, nissan xterras, and nissan frontiers. this defect can cause an owners transmission to fail and lose forward propulsion on a highway and can cause catastrophic loss(es).

My 2005 nissan pathfinder's fuel level sensor stopped working while on a long distance trip. this caused us to pull over along a very busy highway and inspect the vehicle for the problem. we later learned that this is a huge problem that nissan created and is not willing to fix. as a full time law student living off of student loans (and unable to pay to have this huge issue fixed), my family has been forced to reset the mileage every time we fill up on gas in order to keep track of when we are likely out of gas. not the most ideal situation for a mother of 4 young children driving around in the arizona heat. we thought we were buying quality when we purchased a nissan, however the opposite happened.
