Noticed my truck hesitating at about 40mph took in to have checked and was told the transmission and radiator were both failing due to a broken line between the two which caused the fluids from the two parts to mix and cause the failure. then the good news haha the cost would be $6,000.00. i then came to read that this is a problem for many and it should have been a recall by the nissan corp.

While driving the pathfinder at 45mhp it started to shake and slowed down even while pressing gas petal down... felt like the brakes were on.. after getting the vehicle home i discovered the problem with the transmission and radiator. it seems to be a common problem that nissan is aware of... if we were on the interstate at high speeds it could of been a serious accident .

I purchased my 2005 nissan pathfinder in march of 2011. had done great for awhile. replace a exhaust sensor in august of 2012. always smelled hot after being driven, like something electrical but could never pinpoint it. then around november 2012 noticed a delayed reaction in engaging when going into reverse and a slight hesitation coming out of park into drive. didnt think much about it at time. but has since gotten worse, shutters from time to time driving, and hesitates more often. i called tbe local nissan service department today, jan 24, the manager there told me i should call the nissan consumer office because the company was aware of the issue. so i did. the first person i started talking to hung up on me as soon as i mentioned my vehicles make and model. i called back got someone else, altbough she didnt hang up on me, she was no help. she said because my vehicle was over 100000 miles, there was nothing that could be done. so i got in touch with the toyota dealership where i purchased the vehicle. they are looking into it for me as well. this is wrong the way nissan is treating people. if they truly wanted good customer service, they would voluntarily recall these affected vehicles and make it right. i will never purchase another nissan product or recommend them.

I own a 2005 nissan pathfinder. the engine coolant contaminated the transmission fluid because an internal piece broke. the only reason i noticed any issue is the reverse gear began to have trouble engaging. after visiting two mechanics, i had to replace the entire radiator/coolant system and put in a new transmission. although nissan has acknowledged this is a common issue, they refused to do anything to help with the situation. ultimately, this repair cost me upwards of $6000.00 to repair.

The transmission started slipping when accelerating at all speeds. coolant was found in the trans fluid. the radiator and water pump had to be replaced. we had to also add a oil cooler as a precaution. now 8k miles later the transmission has failed and will not shift into 5th gear. best case scenario is a new trans valve assembly for $1500 or worst case new trans for $6500.

I was going to work a usual so i have to take the highway. everything was pretty normail then as i was driving for about 10 minutes i felt like hesitation from the suv. i was in first lame so as i pressed the gas pedal a little further in i noticed that the car was deaccelerating. it was like it was losing power. it returned to normal then 5 minutes later the same thing happened only the car started jerking as well. i turned to the emergency lane to see what was wrong. i turned the engine off and popped the hood it smelled like coolant leaking and the suv didn't say that it was overheated.i tried to turn it on it didn't let me and the dashboard wasn't displaying the n,d,r...etc. took it to the mechanic and said the suv had internal leakage of the radiator and it messed with the transmission. he told me that this type and year of suv had faulty radiator that came like that. the only problem is that i had bought the car 8 months ago and that it came with a warranty for these type of car for less than 80,000 miles. well i bought the car from the dealer with more than 100,000 miles .now at this point to fix the car ranges from 3,000-6,000 dollars. shame on nissan dealers for selling these type of cars that are potentially dangerous on the road.

My wife picked up our two young kids (4, 6 at the time) from school and while on the way back home our 2005 nissan pathfinder totally shutdown as she was passing through a busy intersection. thankfully, she made it through the intersection before being hit but was broken down in the street. unfortunately, i was out of town for work that week so she called our neighbor and he helped get the truck back to our house. after discussing the situation with me on the phone, she called several transmission specialists and had one of them (a+ transmission) pick up the suv the next day. after a running a diagnostic test and determining the severity of the transmission problem, they had to pull the transmission to do a complete inspection. they determined that the radiator had leaked into the transmission and transfer case and that the whole transmission including the radiator needed to be replaced. we opted for a rebuild since transmissions from nissan were on 6 month backorder due to other nissan's having the same issue. we spent almost $4,000 to fix this problem with no help from nissan. after some research online, we found many complaints regarding this issue and the lack of a recall by nissan. this is a significant safety issue that nissan has failed to adequately address. i hope that someone will make nissan do the right thing.

Bought vehicle in april 2012 had transmission go out fixed that with warranty company. the transmission went out again in less than a month comes to find out the radiator was cracked sending antifreeze into transmission and transmission fluid into my radiator destroying my transmission computer. got that fixed camshaft sensors then went bad cost me more money. after that the radiator was still messed up had it repaired and flushed system completely. the shop also had to replace the back flow reserve cap and thermostat for being bad. the vehicle worked for another two days and had a mechanic look at the vehicle for overheating and the diagnosis was fan clutch was working need to replace fan clutch completed that. now nov. 8th two days later after being fixed still overheating. do know what to do anymore???

Many instances of the car jerking, jerking forward when trying to slow down or stop. the rpm reving up to dangerous levels for no reason and trouble driving uphill. my car has become a major safety issue. first the fuel gauge stopped working, which caused me to run out of gas and stalling in the middle of an intersection. next, my car stalled for no reason while driving, that was repaired, something to do with a relay switch, now the transmission issues, possible radiator failure and the need of a new catalytic convertor in a car with 100k miles.... that's insane !!! someone is going to be seriously hurt or killed if they don't fix these vehicles and people don't have thousands of dollars laying around to fix it. so, no food, rent or bills being paid for over a month just to pay for repairs is even more of a hardship to families. please help us before something happens. thanks !!!

The car starts pulling back after is driven 50 miles at a speed of 60mph specialy if you start climbing up the hill. nissan does not want to take responsibility for the damage. though while the car is driven in the city, there is no problem, unless you go on the highway and go for a long drive. thank you..

2005 nissan pathfinder when attempting to accelerate from a stop, the vehicle does not gain speed as it would normally. at higher speeds it seems to perform normally. when shifting into drive, there is a noticeable jump/bump. i took it to a transmission shop and the mechanic said that the radiator is leaking into the transmission. he said the transmission is very rusty. apparently this is a common problem for these vehicles. at this point he is estimating between $2,500 and $3,000 to repair. vehicle has about 108,000 miles. i would love any information on how to be reimbursed from nissan.

On two separate occasions, i cannot remember the date of the first incident. my 2005 nissan pathfinder stalled and would not accelerate. my family was in the vehicle and we were leaving a place of business, which was kind of on a hill and when i tried to accelerate the vehicle would not move, but started to go backward. i cut the vehicle off and tried again and we were off and going, until we were on the road and in traffic going about 45mph the vehicle started to stall, and we had to get ourselves out of traffic. i gt the vehicle going again and everything seemed to go fine for about 2 weeks, then on sept 15 i woke early to take a family member to a weekend class, as i was driving down my street i heard a noise coming from the 2005 pathfinder i rolled my window down to hear the sound as i was listening the sound went away and all of a sudden i was approaching the traffic light the vehicle began to stall, i was pushing on the gas and it would not go, the light was green and i had cars behind me. i had to turn my hazard lights on and try to get myself out of the middle of the road to safety, once i did i had to park my vehicle in a business parking lot at a shopping center that is close to my home. at this point my vehicle is parked due to the fact that it will not accelerate when put in drive. i have talked to nissan dealership and they have advised that they have heard of the radiator/transmission fluid mix and this seems to be the case with my 2005 nissan pathfinder, and that it is costly to get it repaired. the cost is ultimately left up to me, and i feel as if this is a nissan issue that has been an ongoing issue for quite some time for some other nissan customers that needs to be considered a recall and nissan should be fixing this manufacturing problem.

Coolant mixing in the transmission system. some issues with slipping at first, mechanics couldn't figure it out. said they would have to take apart the transmission to figure it out since there were no codes being tripped. then the slip got worse and they happened to discover how bad the fluid looked by the u-joint underneath the car. it was only then that they discovered that the problem could have been related to the radiator coolant leak. they proceeded to fix the radiator and related components and flushed the system several times ($726.81) only 2 months later the transmission was acting up again and almost failed on the freeway, stuttering the engine and smoking a bit. fortunately, we where able to limp the vehicle home and get it to the mechanic the next day. vehicle was at the shop for 3 weeks, then the mechanic thought he had it fixed. we drove the car about 5 miles down the road, the vehicle started to stutter and slip again and the check engine light came on again. we returned the vehicle to the shop, they checked the codes and determined that the transmission would need to be replaced. this is ridiculous...... when you pay this much money for a vehicle, there is no reason why a transmission should fail in 94,000 miles. i can't believe all the horror stories i have read on the internet related to this nissan transmission issue. i feel a sick to my stomache right now just thinking about the financial impact that this has and will cause to my family. there is absolutely no reason that nissan shouldn

Radiator craked causing coolient fluids to leak into transmission and transmission to slip and not drive
08/24/2012175000
I was driving on highway at 45 mph and suddenly there was no more speed as if the vehicle was being driven on neutral, there were cars behind but it was fortunate that it was at a distance where they were able to stop suddenly without crashing into us or each other. this type of vehicle is intended to transport several passengers and in my case i had my children with me. we bought this vehicle used as being our only financial option for a family of six. this has created huge trouble for our family since all of our savings went to the purchase of this suv last year and we have no money to do repairs at time which are approximately $4,000.00.

Transmission failure, radiator failure. had it fixed months ago and my car continues to spew blueberry yogurt from cooling system. nissan did nothing, dealer did nothing and now mechanic is making me jump through hoops. this is a serious and dangerous issue, occurring countrywide in thousands of vehicles. nissan obviously does not want the bad publicity by owning up to the faulty parts...why do you think they changed the parts in 08' models and up? luckily my tranny blowing on the interstate did not cause injury, but it very well could have....is it going to take someone dying for someone to finally do something!!?? there is currently a class action lawsuit against nissan for this issue (since 2010!) do something!! innocent, hard working people are being put in danger by these vehicles.

In 2009, at 74,000 miles, i noticed the car bucking when driving. started doing research and found that the radiator coolant leaks into the transmission cooler destroying the transmission. nissan offered no help or recalls despite the fact that hundreds of the same vehicle were experiencing the same thing. shortly after my vehicle passed 80,000 miles, nissan issued a recall on only the radiator which doesn't help me. i immediately flushed the transmission and radiator to try to avoid complete failure of the transmission, bypassing the transmission cooler part of the radiator. the vehicle drove but the transmission constantly slipped in and out of gear at random times throughout the next 30,000 miles. last week, the transmission finally quit in the middle of a busy intersection. i had to push the car into the nearest parking lot. now the car is sitting in my driveway because it will cost me $6,000 to repair the transmission and radiator. nissan needs to step up and admit that this should be a recall. i love nissans (this is my 3rd) but after this problem i may never buy another one.

Radiator can fail and allow transmission fluid to mix eventually destroy the transmission. ive checked the coolant and it has turned a milky pink color. appearently, there are alot of owners with the same problem.

Radiator crack and leaked coolant into the transmission causing damage. this problem is well known to nissan.
04/20/201296000
Radiator coolant leaked into my transmission, with cross contamination into the radiator at 96,000 miles. there is a known defect of radiators failing from the inside, leaking coolant, thus ruining the transmission. nissan extended radiator warranty to 80,000 miles but most failure is between 80k-120k. i had radiator replaced and a transmission flush for $900. i fear the transmission is ruined. nissan should have notified all owners of this potential problem rather than ignoring it.

I have a 2005 nissan pathfinder and my transmission oil leaked into my radiator causing me to have to totally replace my radiator and i had to have my transmission flushed but it still damaged my transmission. this was a manufacture error but nissan refused to pay because it had over 80,000 miles. i have three nissan in our family but i will never buy another. i also am having trouble with the heating and air conditioner controls in both my 2005 and 2006 nissan pathfinders. the control quit working in both!!!! so disappointed with nissan!!!!

2005 nissan pathfinder. took off out of parking garage, car lost power (wouldn't accelerate) and the service engine soon light came on. took car to independent shop who advised that the computer code they were receiving from the car was a manufacturer code and i would have to take it to the dealer. took car to dealer and was told that radiator had failed and caused the coolant and transmission fluids to mix, resulting in damage to the transmission. recommended repair was replacement of radiator and transmission with an estimate of $5,200. i bought car at 48,000 miles from the dealership as a nissan-certified pre-owned vehicle. i've had multiple problems including replacing the fuel sending unit as well as a catalytic converter. the car had 115,000 miles at the time of the incident and i contacted nissan to request assistance with the cost of the repairs but was denied any help.

The check engine light came on in the vehicle and the car stalled or wouldn't accelerate after the gas pedal was pushed. we took the vehicle to the nissan dealership and were told that there was a crack in the radiator and were advised to have it replaced and also flush the transmission to remove any radiator fluid. paid over $1000 for the replacement. picked up the vehicle on 4/11/12. on the evening of 4/12/12 the car stalled and wouldn't accelerate again while in drive, check engine light came back on. we had the car towed to the dealership and now we have been advised to replace the transmission ($4700 repair). have not moved forward with the repair but found that other owners have experienced the same problem. hoping to participate in a lawsuit to avoid this issue for other owners in the future. on march 26 approx. we took the car to the dealership to address an issue we were having when we started the car. sometimes the car would jump at the start as if it were in drive. the issue couldn't be found by he service tech so they advised us to get a tune up. we paid over $500 that week for a tune up. the car was inspected at that service visit but nothing was mentioned or noticed about the radiator. we wondered how this catastrophic breakdown could appear out of nowhere. the problem happened a few days after the car was serviced and inspected.

Within a week had check engine light for catalytic converter failure and transmission starting skipping. found fluid to be strawberry colored in transmission. stopped at a transmission shop and they advised that the radiator had failed and leaked coolant into the transmission. this has caused permanent damage to the transmission. basically having to buy the car all over again or cut my losses and send it to the scrap yard. i will never buy another nissan product. they know of this problem and refuse to correct their mistakes.

I took in my pathfinder this week after weeks of hearing a deep noise coming from the engine when i tried to accelerate around 2000 rpm. turns out the radiator wall cracked and came apart allowing the coolant and transmission fluid to mix together. apparently this has been a problem in pathfinders, especially the 2005 model. i had the radiator replaced (total cost $1,671.61) but was told this is probably a band-aid fix because there's no way to tell how much damage has been done to the transmission.

My car had 1/4 fuel, i filled the tank to full, the gas gauge do not set the car to full tank, i read the book and made the instructions but the gauge do not change, when i run the car for 2 hrs. and i turn off, it began to change to full tank. the other issue was when i had a 1/2 tank of gasoline...i stop for 5 minutues and i leave the car on, when i returned saw the gas gauge in empty... actually i have the check engin light on for some days and off for the others days.

Radiator core is cracked, which is causing the radiator to leak. it is undetermined at this time if any antifreeze has leaked into the transmission; however, over the past several months, i have on a few occasions experienced the automatic transmission operating erratically (e.g., down shifting or not shifting into passing gear when under full power). the vehicle is scheduled to have its radiator replaced on 11/30/2011, and at that time, i will have the transmission fluid analyzed to determine if any antifreeze has entered the transmission. i pray it has not!

Nissan needs to step up! this is an unbelievable amount of what is wrong with the world. since having the many other problems fixed on my pathfinder(2005) i am now facing an issue of it running sluggishly, high rpm's and less get up. that was one of my favorite things when we purchased the truck, i thought it was safe. i felt comfortable merging into traffic with my 4 children i knew we had power on our side. the tire pressure is constantly ( 1x a week) setting off the tpms, then there is the squeaky brakes and other rattling, vibrating noises. the other thing is the check engine light that randomly comes on for some reason then will mysteriously be gone a few miles later. we bought nissan thinking it was still a stable reliable company that made a strong product and stood behind it...well were we ever wrong! never again!!!

My 2005 nissan pathfinder shuttered excessively when decelerating from the interstate and from that point forward had difficulty shifting into higher gears. i immediately took it to a mechanic and was told the transmission had gone bad. in the process of replacing the transmission, they discovered the radiator leaking into the transmission and the computers in the transmission and the car were not communicating.

We had to replace the ipdm in november 2010, the truck stopped running in middle of the road, we had 118,000 miles on vehicle. in july 2011, we were on vacation in indiana and on our way to see family in ohio. we were on the interstate and the vehicle would not excellerate over 40 - 45 mph., we stopped at an autozone to test the vehicle to see what the problem was and it cleared it. since that time, the engine light would periodically come on. on september 15, 2011, the truck would not start. the truck is still at the mechanic to be repaired, we were advised the problem is the radiator leaking into the transmission causing transmission to fail. cost is $6,000 to repair and truck has 127,000 miles on it. this is a consistant complaint of owners of this vehicle, however, nissan does not want to do anything to correct the problem. this is my first and last nissan.

The vehicle had difficulty changing gears and the check engine light came on. on 8/22/11 i took the car into a nissan repair shop and it was confirmed that due to a faulty radiator, coolant leaked into the transmission causing corrosion. i was told that i would need a new radiator and transmission at a cost of approx. $6000. i called nissan consumer affairs and spoke to 2 representatives and a supervisor who stated that due to the milage on my car, they would offer no assistance with repairs. i pointed out that this is a result of well documented defects with the radiator however they stated that nissan has no obligation to assist me as the product has not been recalled.

I am a car dealer in montana, purchased a 2005 nissan pathinder at the auction with 85,000 miles for re-sale. showed it once to a customer, it ran fine, i drove it home 8-6-11. 78 mph on cruise control on the interstate. the transmission dis-engaged, i barely recovered from hitting the medium at that speed. turns out this is an issue that the transmission cooler leaks fluid into the trans on 90% of this model year. even though i am a dealer...this is not right. $4500.00 repair. thankfully it was not one of my customers. nissan should re-call every one of these and make it right. i cannot believe there has not been a death from this failure. i am sure there has been many stranded travelers that may have died as a result.

Crack in the radiator assembly occurred leading to internal leakage of the engine coolant. 2005 nissan pathfinder with automatic transmission began hard shifting in the fall of 2010. this was a constant daily occurrence if the driver forgot to take the pathfinder out of overdrive. it sounded like the old 1970s ford universal joint as it shifted into gear. at times the car felt like the back-end was being pulled the opposite direction. at cruising speed, the back wheels would sound like they were running over the corrugated concrete near a toll booth or lane dividers on a highway and the transmission would cause the car to shudder. it would seem to fall out of gear while the car was moving at speed. going uphill, the pathfinder would hard shift and hesitate to engage into gear. accelerating on to the freeway was never an issue, but it would not immediately shift into the appropriate gear at highway speeds. on several occasions, it would stay in neutral when shifted into reverse. the most common symptom was the shuddering noises at 30 mph. if the overdrive was turned off, all symptoms would diminish or disappear completely. took it to the dealer in december and they could not duplicate. took it to the dealer in may and they could duplicate, but not consistently and saw no mixing of coolant and transmission fluid. towed it in to the dealer in august, the damage is done, the fluids have mixed and the transmission computer has shorted out. repair recommended is to replace transmission (including computer) and radiator and hoses. customer cannot afford the $6,000 price tag on the repair. nissan north america will not assist as pathfinder is out of warrantee.

My family and i were driving back from a small trip while on our way home our truck starting shaking when it reached speeds of 40 to 50 mph it did this about 3 different times on our way home. we pulled over to check but were not able to find anything, we were nervous because we had not had any problems with our truck. once we had made it into to town we were at a stop sign as my husband accelerated to cross the intersection the truck hesitated to speed up. it appeared to be that the truck was stuck on 1 to 2nd gear. luckily it was late in the evening and there was no oncoming traffic when we crossed the interception, if not i hate to think what could have happened. it felt like the truck was going to die right in the middle of the intersection. next day we took the truck in to our mechanic. he informed us that there was water/coolant from the radiator that leaked into the transmission, he advice us to take it in to our local nissan dealer shop. we had to pay nissan $96 for them to perform a diagnostic test because they would not accept our mechanics results. once the diagnostic test was performed it confirmed what out mechanic had informed us. we submitted a claim to nissan of america, and sadly they denied our claim. their reason behind the denial was because the extended warranty for the radiator covered up to 80k miles our truck was over about 35k miles. we are stuck with a bill of over 6k to have the truck fixed, it requires a new transmission, radiator, tranny cooler line flush and coolant flush. i have been on the phone with nissan for over 11/2 week with no results other than nissan refuses to fix our truck because we have surpass the 80k miles. what i don't understand is how is it possible for a 6 year old truck to have such seriouse problems with transmission due to a falty radiator which nissan was well aware.

The family and i all got into the car after grocery shopping, it seemed to be a normal night except when my mother went in for reverse to get out of the parking spot the car accelerated backwords and the car took over, our mother was yelling saying ' the brakes wont work ' everybody was in such a panic the car hit two circles in the store parking lot. luckly no one was there. we ran into the store gate which was there just in case those sort of things happen but my brother who was sitting in the passanger seat stop the car by putting it in parking.

Radiator leaks into transmission causing transmission to mess up. nissan is aware of the issue and told me it happens on higher mileage pathfinder but they only extended the warranty to 80,000 miles. i researched the 2005 nissan pathfinder and found that this is an ongoing problem that occurs with this year and model. i feel there should be a recall on this problem and nissan should be held accountable.

I was driving on the highway and the transmission failied. it was sudden and there was no warning. i was driving along fine and all of the sudden i had no power. i was able to pull over and get help. when i took the vehicle into a repair shop i was told the radiator leaked fluid into the transmission and ruined it. i had to pay to replace both the transmission and the radiator. i also received a letter from nissan stating this was a known design flaw. when i asked to be reimbursed i was told i was outside of the warranty mileage. i disagree if the damage was caused by a defective part, not wear and tear and not misuse of the vehicle they should recall this on all vehicles regardless of mileage, etc. i have tried contacting nissan several times and i have been told there is nothing they can do. the damage cost about five thousand dollars to fix and it all had to come out of my pocket. i am so disgusted with this company and the terrible way they handle their mistakes. i will never buy another vehicle from them and i have warned others to get their vehicles checked before they get stranded somewhere or possibly have an accident because of the gross negligence of nissan.

I received, in the mail, a warranty notification from nissan north america headquarters, consumer affairs department, franklin, tn. basically, it reads: nissan has extended your vehicle's new vehicle limited warranty as it applies to the radiator assembly to 96 months/80,000 miles (whichever comes first)...nissan north america wbi/10-029. when my husband, scott, contacted our local nissan dealerships service department, he was informed that the component would have to fail before they could do anything about it. according to other nhtsa complaints from nissan pathfinder owners who have had the component fail, it sometimes causes transmission failure and loss of vehicle control (lack of engine power throughput to provide mobility). if the component were to fail it seems that it would create a safety issue under some conditions (on highways where it is not convenient to pull over). some pathfinder owners have claimed that it can cost thousands of dollars to replace the transmission, and that nissan sometimes does not cover repairs beyond the radiator, despite that problem can leak coolant into the transmission, sometimes causing serious damage to, or failure of the transmission. nissan should know about this problem and offer owners of possibly effected vehicles a free test to determine if their vehicle does, indeed have a defective radiator assembly. if a test is not available, then the radiator assemblies on these vehicles should be repaired of replaces as necessary to ensure that they will not fail under normal conditions and mileage. furthermore, if a radiator assembler were to cause a transmission to need repair or replacement, nissan should cover associated transmission correction costs. because of this problem, we (my husband and i) no longer driver our pathfinder on long trips, and have lost faith in our vehicle and nissan.

I own a 2005 nissan pathfinder and have been doing all the required maintenance on it in a very timely manner. it is a very well maintained suv and had only 49,997 miles on it. i got a safety recall notice on it for the ecm relay issued and took it to the dealer. i was also experiencing some whining noises. the service dealer advisor at the dealership told me that my timing chains had a problem and needed to be replaced. he said this was a serious issue and could lead to engine damage and is a potential road hazard. he also said it needed to be fixed immediately, as this was a known problem, that had been experienced by a number of other customers and that nissan motor co. had issued a service bulletin ntb09-128 regarding this problem. i am really surprised that nissan did not think it was necessary to communicate this piece of important information to all its customers. my son who is 21 years old drives this suv on ski trips and i am really alarmed that this defect which was known to nissan could have lead to some serious road hazards. nissan has acted in a very callous manner because they did not inform their customers about the possibility of such a serious issue which can lead to road hazards. they did not issue a safety recall to fix the issue. i request you to kindly investigate this issue and ensure that nissan communicates this serious flaw to all owners of 2006 nissan pathfinders and any other model which has the same issue.

Timing chain and fuel sending unit on 2005 pathfinder is defective. while the maunufacturer recognizes this as an ongoing problem, they are only willing to cover those vehicles up to 72,000 miles. a claim was filed and rejected on both problems as my vehicle has 82,000 miles.

The transmission in the 2005 nissan pathfinder slips and jerks while driving at highway speeds. the slippage can cause the vehicle to rapidly decelerate in traffic increasing the likelihood of an accident. the rapid jerking of the vehicle can cause the vehicle to loose control on its own or frighten or disorient the driver causing the driver to loose control of the vehicle.

2005 nissan pathfinder. twice stalled on the road leaving me with no breaks. two close calls with my family on board. it sits in my driveway useless because of the fear i may be driving down the road and stalls all over again, this time at the wrong place or time causing serious injury or death!!!!

I have a 2005 nissan pathfinder and on tuesday on my way to work the truck stop on me in the middle of freeway. according to nissan there are no recalls on my vehicle but i received a letter for recall from them that i cant find. a gentleman help me get it to the side of the free way since there was a lot of traffic. and it die again. all the lights on the dashboard were blinking like crazy. the truck went back on and did it again on my way home bearly got home and did not want to turn on again. had to take it to the agency and they told me it was the ibpm control module. which controls everything. so i been calling nissan and they dont have any recalls according to them, but what about if it would of caused an accident. i felt my life was in danger.

2005 nissan pathfinder. engine cuts off without warning while driving. has happened twice in traffic, one time at a busy intersection. vehicle starts about 20 minutes later. took vehicle to dealer who advised that it's 'most likely' ipdm failure but they are unable to diagnose as it doesn't throw a code. dealer kept car 5 days and tried to duplicate the failure to positively diagnose, but was unable to. the day after picking it up from the dealer the engine quit again in traffic. now we are told that our warranty company will only cover if they can positively diagnose. my toddler was in the car the first time this occurred and our car died in the middle of an intersection between 2 6-lane roads. couldn't remove the vehicle for 30 minutes. just waiting for it to happen while merging on the interstate during rush hour traffic. hopefully there are no injuries or fatalities as a result of this failure.

2005 nissan pathfinder. we felt a vibration about two weeks ago. at 40 mph it felt like we were going over rumble strips. took to the mechanic. he said it was the transmission. radiator fluid had leaked into the transmission and back. both needed to be replaced as they were ruined. car is not safe to drive. repair will cost $5,000. nissan will not cover any or all of the repair. the car only has 67,000 miles on it.

I had 1/4 of a tank of gas and went to fill up. after filling up my gas tank, i turned on the car, at which point the needle did not register the full tank. after driving a couple miles, the check engine light came on. i can not rely on my gages to give an accurate reading of my fuel and/or how many miles i have until i am empty. now i have an additional issue that seems to be associated with this where my oil pressure needle always shows high. this did not fix itself. it appears there is a recall on 2006 and younger models for this issue, but my 2005 pathfinder is not included in the recall. the issue i am having is exactly what is associated with the other recalls.

2005 nissan pathfinder fuel sensor defective. nissan don't want to recall any car that 2005 n earlier. i never see any other car that fuel sensor go bad when it reach 40000 miles. i have to keep my gas more than half everytime cause of that problem. i'm not the only 1 who own a 2005 pathfinder complain about these problem. if i have a chance i wouldn't buy a nissan again

The gas gauge on my 2005 nissan pathfinder doesn't work properly. this problem has been recalled on several other year models, but they will not fix my 2005. i have run out of gas 3 times, once with my grandmother, my 2 yr. old daughter and my 2 month old daughter. i cannot afford to fix this problem. the brakes have also gone out twice on this vehicle.
