| I was rolling into a spot off the paved road on to a graveled space (pine needles, rocks and dirt) in order to make a three point turn. but the car would not stop. i jammed on the brakes but the car kept rolling down slowly and i crashed into a tree. my airbags deployed and i suffered some minor burns and bruising. the vehicle suffered minor bumper damage but why did my airbags deploy at only 8 miles per hour. i am at a loss that this happened. i just added new brakes the week before. but the car would not stop when i applied the brakes. *tr | |||

| The entire brake pedal fell off my 2006 nissan pathfinder while driving. i had no way to stop vehicle - had to use emergency brake. car was towed to dealership, and i was told the motor that runs the brake pedal died and it adjusted itself off completely. *tr | |||

| Car began to make a knocking and whoom, whoom sound that got louder and louder. when i merged onto the highway (on my way to an unrelated nissan service appt.) all of a sudden it felt as though i had a flat tire. then i lost control of the car. i lost the use of my brakes and could not stop the vehicle. i managed to pull the car over to the side of the highway (on the left in the grassy median) and my left front wheel flew off my car. i still could not stop the car as my brakes had become disengaged when the wheel came loose. mercifully my rim digging into the dirt in the median finally caused the car to come to a stop. the entire front bumper was shoved back toward the back of the car and was damaged. the driver's side door was then damaged from the front bumper scraping against it when the door is opened and closed. | |||

| About a month ago my wife went to fill up our 2006 pathfinder and when she finished the gas gauge showed only half fill. she went to another gas station tried to fill it up but it only took another dollar. the next day i called up nissan who said it was the sending unit in the gas tank and would be apx $600 to fix. i saw other logs of xterras having this problem and there was a recall. our car was just past the 3 year warranty. if this were the only problem with this car i'd pay to get it fixed. but i've had another but problems with this vehicle. i've gone through 3 sets of rotors and i'm on my 3rd set of tires. the drivers side door lock broke and to be brought in twice, and the bose system has a cd stuck which i can't get out. this happened only after we owned it a few months. *tr | |||
