 Tl*the contact owns a 1993 nissan quest. the contact stated that the passenger front lap belt will not remain secure into the buckle. as a consequence, in the event of the crash the occupants may not be properly restrained, which can cause serious injury. he took the vehicle to the dealer and a technician stated that no parts are available to properly remedy the failure. the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure and current mileages were 170,000. updated 10/06/09. *lj the consumer stated the vehicle has finally been repaired. the dealer ordered and replaced the belt buckle free of charge under warranty. updated 10/06/09

 Tl*the contact owns a 1993 nissan quest. the contact stated that the vehicle burned a lot of fuel. the mechanic inspected the vehicle and stated that there are no leaks. in addition, the contact heard a scraping noise when make a left or right turn. the mechanic was unable to diagnose the failure. the current mileage was 200,050 and failure mileage was 200,00. updated 04/08/08. *lj the seat belts did would not go up or down and there was a problem with the upper and lower ball joints. the consumer also stated the vehicle cuts off. updated

 Both front motorized shoulder seat belts-do not ride on track properly, they make load noises, jerky motion, and speed of travel varies. nissan of america states it is not covered under the lifetime seat belt limited warranty.

 When the center (2nd row) seat is removed and replaced with the (3rd row) seat the seat belt is too short to fit. the 3rd row seat has no auxiliary buckle like the 2nd row, if it did then the seat belt for the 2nd row seat could be used.

SEAT BELTS - FRONT - RETRACTOR
 Both driver and passenger side seat belts are very loose and do not get tightened. also, passenger side seat belt will not fully extend out of housing mechanism, causing the belt to be inoperable. consumer has contacted the dealer. please provide any further details.*ak
