I was driving from baltimore to philadelphia in june of this year. after about 1 hour of highway driving my 2009 nissan rogue started to stall as i reduced speed to get on the ramp of another highway. i wanted to pick up speed in order to merge onto the next highway, but my car would not respond. i had pushed the accelerating pedal to the metal and it still was not responding or rather going at 40mph. i exited the highway and stopped the engine, to give it a rest, but as i proceeded the car still stalled. i ended up having it towed from my hotel to nissan dealership located 6723 essington avenue philadelphia, pa 19153. i was told the transmission fluid was topped off but they did not see a leak. i drove the car back to baltimore the next day, but the problem has been reoccurring. i have had many near misses) is nissan waiting to have fatalities in order to react? i do not wish to be a statistic.

Vehicle would start and i was able to change gears but these will not activate. even when accelerating the vehicle it will not move. vehicle had to be towed. this is the second incidence; the first time we experience this situation was at the time we took the vehicle out of the dealer. after stopping for gas and starting the vehicle again it only moved for about 5 mins, then stopped completely. vehicle was returned to the dealer and a different vehicle provided (same make and model); now three years after the first incident we have the same situation (same situation, two different vehicles, three years timeframe). we have been told that correcting the sitaution will cost between $2500-3000.

The driver's, passenger's and rear driver's door locks do not lock/unlock properly. it began with the driver's side door failing to operate properly once every 3-4 weeks. i had had the door handle recall work completed in march 2011 so i thought the remote's battery was weak and replaced it in december 2011. then the malfunction started to occur more frequently. after a few months, the driver's door lock would not unlock for entry to the car or lock once i was inside. to gain entry to the car, i would have to open the driver's rear door and reach forward to unlock the driver's side door. i had the driver's side door lock replaced in march 2012. now the passenger door is inoperative as well as the rear driver's side door. i must get in the car and reach to lock/unlock the doors from the inside. if ever quick entry or exit from the car is needed, someone is going to be harmed. a child in a car seat, a person with limited mobility or the ability to make a quick decision is trapped unless i am able to quickly reach to lock/unlock the doors. i have filed a complaint with nissan who tells me the car is out of warranty and that they will give me a $500 dealer assistance towards a $1700 bill for a defective system. i found on the internet other 2009 rogue owners with the same complaint. the murano and the juke have also been recalled for this problem.

At several times in the past coming from out of a stop, the vehicle would not accelerate. the first time it happened i was able to push the pedal hard to get acceleration and managed to regain acceleration. on 7/9/12, while driving on the freeway at steady speeds, i began to slow down to slowing traffic, when traffic picked up i was not able to get acceleration out of the vehicle. i punched the pedal to the floorboard and got no acceleration whatsoever. the rpms would not increase the overdrive would not respond and was just coasting at 40 mph. this was such a risk as i had fast coming traffic and had to pull to the slow lane to not be a hazard in the middle of the freeway. the vehicle never regained acceleration and had to keep pedal pushed to continue moving. i proceeded to take the vehicle to the dealer, but the insisted that since they received no computer error codes or could not duplicate the problem, they could not do anything for me. i searched online and noticed it has been happening to lots of people and could be several possible issues. it seems most of the causes are a result of long distance driving which i do 4 times a week and somehow resets upon turning off and turning back on vehicle or vehicle cooling down. the dealer could not spare the time for someone to drive it for that long so they left it at that.. i feel this is a big safety hazard and hope that this issue can be dealt with the manufacturer as a recall.

We had a check engine light come on, took it to the dealer the next day said it was nothing. went on a trip 200 ish miles on the way home i had to pass a car and when i stepped on the gas nothing happened. i was left looking at on coming traffic and had to move back over. no acceleration at all. scared we were going to ruin it by driving any longer i pulled over. we had lunch and tried again about an hour later it seemed fine. about 15 mins into the drive it did the same thing. not sure exactly what the problem is but i believe it has something to do with the transmission. also yesterday it rained and now the traction control light has come on. the car is far to new to have these kind of problems, and they could cause accidents.

Taking a road trip when a rock or other object punctured my condenser. dealer says it is not covered under warranty and car is less than a year old. it comes with a hefty price tag of $750. how often can i expect to pay to have my condenser fixed from flying objects? car is a 2009 nissan rogue.

I purchased a 2009 nissan rogue. approximately 3 weeks ago (1/7/10) the drivers side door handle broke. i was unable to enter my vehicle through the drivers side. the door opens from the inside, but i can't open the vehicle from the outside. i went to kingston nissan, in kingston, ny 12401 and advised them of the problem. a mechanic looked at my vehicle and advised me that a new handle was needed. i thought this type of part could be easily fixed, but i was wrong. as of today, (1/28/10) my vehicle has not been fixed. kingston nissan service department advised me that they can not find a replacement part and that the part(s) are coming from japan and would arrive until february 7th, 2010. i must wait over a month to get my vehicle fixed. in the meantime, the only way to access my vehicle is by using the passenger side door and climb over the seats. if i were physically unable to climb over the seats, i would not be able to operate my vehicle. fortunately, i am able, but if a person was not, they would either have to rent a vehicle or use some other means of transportation. i find this problem inexcusable. a simple door handle part must be sent from japan to fix this problem. please assist me in finding a better solution. also, i have recently received several recalls on my vehicle. i feel that nissan is providing inadequate service to its customers and maybe supplying inadequate vehicles and potentially unsafe vehicles to the american public. thank you for your time. tw*
