 Tl*the contact owns a 2005 nissan titan. the vehicle has cooper veon ltz tires (na), size 285/60/18 (na). while driving approximately 35 mph on normal road conditions, the contact heard a loud noise coming from outside of the vehicle. the vehicle began pulling to the left without assistance. the driver pulled over to the side of the road and inspected the vehicle. he noticed that the front driver's side tire was flat and the interior sidewall had large cracks. the tire was replaced with a spare. in addition, the front passenger side tire exhibited interior sidewall cracks, but they were not as severe as the driver's side tire. the vehicle was taken to an authorized tire shop and the technician recommended replacing all four tires. the tires were replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the defective tires, but could not assist. the failure and current mileages were 54,000.

 Purchased 2005 nissan titan truck on 2/1/2005. on 4/21/05 with 6,000 miles, truck shook/shimmied when applying brakes. under warranty, nissan dealer replaced front pads and resurfaced the front rotors. on 6/23/05 with 11,000 miles, truck again shook/shimmied when applying brakes. still under warranty, nissan dealer replaced front and rear pads and rotors again! on 1/14/08, needed to replace the crappy goodyear wrangler sr-a (p265/70r18) tires that came with the truck (also had 3 flat tires) even though i rotated them regularly (less than 40,000 miles). today, the tire center indicated i needed new brakes. called nissan dealer and am again taking the truck into service to correct and get new rotors/pads. by the way, the warranty on my truck for this repair runs out on 2/1/08. going forward, i will have to be responsible to pay. this stinks! how come there hasn't been a recall and corrective procedure implemented? $37,000 vehicle! *tr

 The consumer experienced premature tire wear at 48,000 miles on his 2005 nissan titan. *jb there was tire tread wear of 20-25% on each tire. nissan suggested that this problem was the tire manufacturer's responsibility. *sc *jb

 I own a 2005 nissan titan king cab, which i purchased it in november of 2005. after, approximately 30days of ownership and 500 miles of travel; the front brakes began to experience complications (they would shudder while braking and create an unreasonable amount of brake dust.) i quickly return to my local dealership where i purchased it, for servicing. the nissan dealership repaired the rotors. during the summer of 2006, i began to notice a musty odor emitting from the floor and carpeting of the passenger side. during a routine oil change and requested the mechanic to inspect the truck for the cause of the odor. they couldn't locate the source of the odor. i returned the truck to the dealership for the same problem on several other occasions, during the summer of 2007 odor reappeared; they replaced the rubber gasket around door windows in hopes of resolving the issue. meanwhile the front brakes rotors were replaced again and the gauges (fuel, oil, tach ,voltmeter) acting erratically. the dealership repaired the brakes under my extended warranty & prorated my purchase of a new nissan auto battery; according to service dept. this was the cause of the gauges malfunction. then again in2008, i was told the brakes were no longer under warranty and that the musty odor was caused by water coming into the cabin via a small void in the window sealant around the factory installed windshield

 Entire sidewall blew out. it looks like the sidewall was cut out in a circle.

 Noticed road noise that increased with mileage. then slight vibration over time. had tire rotations by oil changers and dealership. they noticed nothing about tires. when condition got more noticeable,i went to 2 tire shops. they first told me that i needed to go to a goodyear shop because i have tire separation. the second was a goodyear store that told me that i had tread separation and twisted belts which were manufactured during the strike at goodyear and made by office personnel. since this was clearly a defective tire, in my eyes, i felt that goodyear should be responsible for the expense of new tires. the goodyear shop stated that they will submit this as road noise and get a minimum l refund back to help offset the cost of new tires that i must buy at the tune of $700.00. of course we didn't want to put the same tire back on the truck. also these tires had 26,300 miles on them. i have done nothing except check pricing at other tire places to see if i am getting any discount at all. totally frustrated i felt that goodyear should pay for these tires to be replaced. also they of course will charge all their other charges, balance,tire disposals,tire charges,balance. even though clearly this is a goodyear fiasco. i was certain that this was happening all over the country, especially since the goodyear shop knew all about this defect. *ak

 Dt: the trailer tire blew out while the consumer was driving at 50 mph. the tire wrapped around the axle of the trailer after this. the tire was original equipment. the location was on the front passenger's side. there was no accident. a goodyear, marathon. *ak
