On a recall for a faulty ecm (engine control module). the vehicle stalled and would not start again, had it towed to dealer. nissan covered this ecm. during the repair the mechanic noted that the rear axle seals were leaking and recommended that they be repaired as soon as possible. the cost to repair was estimated at $750.00. while web surfing for the repair process for the seals i ran across many complaints concerning this problem with the nissan titan including models from 2004 to present (2012). based on the feedback from other titan owners, this is a common flaw with the vehicle and a costly one at that. also this is the first time i have ever witnessed rear axle seals failing in a vehicle. most seem to last the life time of the vehicle. i believe this is a manufacture's responsiblity due to a defective parts creating an unsafe and useless means of transportation.

Nissan titan pickup truck- 5 spoke wheel spoke cracked. as the vehicle was driven to the dealership, the crack did worsen and caused increased vibration in the steering wheel. the dealership inspected the wheel for impact damage, non was observed. the 18in alloy wheel was replaced by dealership. no other wheel components, spokes had any damage. this is a mechanic breakdown of a tire-wheel component which will cause fatalities. *tr

Nissan titan -wheel spoke cracked through one wheel spoke of the 18 inch chrome alloy, 5 spoke wheel rim cracked in two. the brake was unstable and near the midpoint of the spoke. it was clearly visible from both sides of the wheel. there was no sign of impact or stress that might have caused the fracture. the other spokes remained intact, but this wa s a hazardous situation.*ak
