On the 2008 nissan titan there is a design flaw that may cause injury or death. the headlamps and turn signal are on the same switch. when signaling a turn the headlight position changes. when operating the vehicle at night this is especially dangerous as you will lose all exterior and interior lights. it is confusing to the operator of the vehicle as the operator must react rapidly to locate the switch and regain some idea of the location of the vehicle. in addition operators of oncoming vehicles may be confused by the headlights flashing on/off. the defect has other accident possibilities as the switch may have gone to the off position during daylight hours and the automatic switch would not operate as expected leaving a person traveling past the twilight hours with out road lights. |
