| I was traveling when loss of engine power occurred. there was no sound or other indication of engine problems aside from inability to accelerate. was able to pull vehicle over to the shoulder where the engine would not turn over again. had vehicle towed to local dealer where i was informed that it was the fuel pump and that the parts are on back order. in addition, while this is a known issue since 2007, there has been no voluntary recall despite many other incidents (as per internet search) of other vehicles losing power while in motion. the initial symptoms include an inability to start upon initial turnover wherein the issue progresses towards total fuel pump failure. i did experience the issue where the engine would take a second or third try to turn over but had attributed it to the starter. *tr | |||

| The car as many others have been noted for the years 2007 and 2008 has been to the shop to correct the cranking no start problem. as per nissan technical bulletin the fuel regulator was replaced and the problem occurred the next day and has continued to do so. the dealer has no idea what the cause is. *tr | |||
