| At around 75000 miles my fuel sending unit failed on my 2007 nissan xterra. this is a very common issue with this vehicle and has been documented by nissan in ntb07-069b. this condition causes the vehicle to show improper fuel levels and throws the following check engine code. by not knowing exactly when this vehicle will be out of fuel it can be an unsafe condition for my wife and granddaughter to ride long distances in this vehicle. *tr | |||

| I've noticed that nissan has been under investigation for receiving a number of complaints from consumers in regards to sudden, catastrophic transmission failures in 2005-2010 nissan pathfinder, frontier and xterra's. well i am writing to tell you that my 2007 nissan xterra has fallen victim to this. it has been diagnosed with the problem of the transmission fluid cooler located in the radiator assembly that allowed coolant to mix with and contaminate the automatic transmission fluid, resulting in damaged internal transmission components and a damaged internal transmission computer. i had no warning signs leading up to or just prior to the failures. what is nissan going to do about this???? recall ?? *tr | |||

| I own a 2007 nissan xterra with a faulty fuel senor service bulletin #ntb-07-069c. called nissan several times and the corporate office called today 11/14/2012 and refused to repair warranty part. it is a known issue and they just flat out refused to fix a sensor they admit is faulty. i feel helpless against this giant corporation. thanks you any help you could provide. *tr | |||

| My check engine light came then my fuel gauge went to e then back to half full i stop to put gas in then went to full for about 2 miles then to e now its on e and light is on all the time. plus check engine light is on all the time. had my friend check to truck connected to gage to it and it read error for fuel sensor error. i called nissan consumer affairs they said even through there it a recall for certain xterras not mine even through the same symptom's are reported on recalled trucks at nissan. *tr | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2007 nissan xterra. the contact stated that after refueling the vehicle, the check engine and low fuel warning lamps illuminated. the vehicle was driven to a private mechanic where it was confirmed that the fuel sending unit failed. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was contacted about the issue. the failure and current mileages were 82,000. kmj | |||

| While driving, the fuel level indicated it was empty and the check engine light went on. this became an issue weekly from that point on. the problem would go away, and then come back on. there is no way to tell the fuel level in the vehicle during this. nissan issued a warranty extension for this known problem, but not a recall. this should definitely be a recall situation. they know it is bad, and it is a very expensive fix. nissan confirmed ton 10/3/2012 at regal nissan in roswell, that the problem is the fuel level sending unit. they need to replace it with updated parts. *tr | |||
