| I own a 2000 oldsmobile alero. at 2 years old and 22,xxx miles the rotors became out of round causing the steering wheel to shake violently upon depressing the brake pedal. the manufacturer opted to resurface the rotors. at 3 years and 34,xxx miles the rotors again became out of round. again causing the steering wheel to shake upon depressing the brake pedal. this time, with the vehicle out of its 3 year manufacturers warranty, the manufacturer opted to resurface the rotors at my cost. the dealer refused to replace or repair the defective rotors. the problem was not fixed the first time and the rotors obviously should have been replaced. has there been other complaints filed on behalf of the alero and defective rotors? what should i do next? *nlm | |||

| The brake rotors turned twice and replaced once. this caused the brake pads to have to be replaced. the drivers door automatic window motor had to be replaced twice and now the passenger door window was doing the same thing. the interior light fell out and had to be put back in. the sun visor came loose and had to be tightened again. the cd player had to be replaced. a backlash of electricity caused a fuse to be replaced. the car died on a highway and towed to the dealership. the intact manifold leaked, it was tightened up and one month later the same problem happened again. the drivers side seat belt did not detract automatically. *tt | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2000 oldsmobile alero. the contact stated that the driver's side window no longer operates. while driving 55 mph, she can hear a grinding sound coming from the front driver's side wheel. the tire has not been diagnosed by the dealer. in addition, the air conditioning no longer works. the contact believes the mechanic has done something to the vehicle in order for the air conditioning to fail. she feels that all of these issues are safety hazards. the current mileage was 141,000 and failure mileage was 100,000. 4/01/09 *nj updated 04/06/09. *jb | |||

| The dome light flickers and sometimes cuts-off completely. problems since i bought car. engine cut-off when i turn-off ac. runs rough, them turns-off completely. service cant find any reason for these problems. i worry about this car. another lemon? | |||

| Rotors bad, brakes bad, wheels leak air, windows leak air in, windshied shakes, engine runs high temps and knocks, paint is starting to rust. cd player is always shuting off. dealer has not done a thing to help and my car is under warranty for a few more months. i need help soon.*ak | |||

| Front driver side power window regulator failed. window will not roll up or down. rear seat does not clasp into proper harness - i too kit to russ darrow and they said a seat is cosmetic, and it is as fixed as it is going to get.. turn signals do not work 70% of the time. the lighter was pushed into the main jack to be used, the lighter never popped out properly. as a result both jacks are inoperable. rotors were replaced at 37,000 but there is still very loud wobbling noises and tire noise. dealer suggests new tires, the tread is fine on the current tires. new tires will only mask the noises. | |||
