| The front passenger seat of my 2000 alero has stopped latching in place and freely moves on the rails on the floor board. this happen right after i bought the car and it was replaced, and now the replacement is doing the same thing. i can not drive with a passenger in the front because it is not safe. *tr | |||

| We were involved in an accident in sep 2004. another vechile was knocked into our vechile and my wife's seat did not remain locked in position. he seat slammed forward and my wife received fractures to her leg, and foot. along with a tear in the mincus of her knee. i have requested that gm look into this isse with the seat, but i do not feel that they are really concerned about the issue.*ak | |||

| The driver's side power seat moved forward without the button being pushed to activate it. it would not stop when the button was pushed to reversed the motion. it stopped only when the seat reached its full forward position. fortunately, i was parked and could jump out of the car. had i been in motion, i could have been unable to control the vehicle as my knees would have been smashed into the dashboard and my abdomen would have been smashed into the steering wheel. i took the car to a gm garage where they told me they had never heard of this happening before and they didn't know what to do. they ended up disconnecting the power to the seat and said they would call the factory. *ak | |||

| 1. blinkers are broken 2. emergency lights do not work 3. fuel pump went out ~57500 miles 4. motor under seat went out; local dealer ordered it when it was under warranty and never notified me it was in 5. clear coat was peeling on hood - local dealer fixed 6. dash board is peeling up 7. transmission has been slipping since about ~31000 miles 8. cruise control does not work must i go on? i hope gmac will fix some of these problems. i will never buy another american made vehicle! | |||
