Defect SummaryVehicle description: mini vans with extended wheelbase. some of these vehicles have inoperative fuel tank rollover valves and fuel leakage would exceed the permissible amount in a rollover test. this does not comply with the requirements of fmvss no. 301, fuel system integrity.
Consequence SummaryIn a vehicle rollover accident, if an ignition source is present, a fire could result.
Corrective SummaryDealers will inspect the vehicles to locate and replace those fuel tanks that could have inoperative rollover valves.

Defect SummaryCertain delphi fuel pressure regulators, p/nos. fp10020-11b1, fp10026-11b1, and fp10027-11b1, sold after january 9, 2007, as aftermarket equipment for various passenger vehicles listed above. the universal pressure regulators (upr) were produced without an o'ring and retainer.
Consequence SummaryFuel may leak, possibly resulting in a fire.
Corrective SummaryDelphi will notify owners and replace the upr free of charge. the recall began on april 23, 2007. owners can contact delphi at 877-411-8770.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2000 oldsmobile silhouette. whenever the contact filled up his vehicle with gasoline, he noticed that the fuel gauge displayed the incorrect amount. the contact also noticed that the fuel gauge would not go under a half a tank. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the gas tank needed to be replaced. the current mileage was 63,000 and failure mileage was 40,000.

 As consumer was getting into vehicle to start engine, it fired up and immediately ceased, all other functions in the vehicle worked, several attempts were made to start vehicle, however no luck, there was full battery power but no start, vehicle was towed into dealership for diagnosis and consumer was advised the ground wire for the fuel system had broken loose and would not allow vehicle to start, the wire is located in the rear near the gas tank, fuel system was replaced. *jb

 While driving vehicle, it didn't have any speed. while sitting in vehicle, vehicle exploded with flames coming from driver's side. also, consumer stated muffler burnt hole in gas tank. contacted dealer and dealer bought vehicle back. *ak consumer stated service engine light would also illuminate when the vehicle would lose power, mechanics found a hole in the muffler had burned a hole in the plastic gas tank. *slc
