The drivers side seat belt would not pull out or retract from the mechanism. i took the van in for replacement and was charged $178 to replace the seatbelt assembly. i think this is wrong for me to pay for a safety related device. i have already paid the bill but want to know if it is possible to get a refund from chrysler? *ak

In october 1997, the driver side seat belt jammed in the fully retracted position. i had it replaced and didn't think much about it. then in july 1998, the exact same problem occurred with he belt for the right second bench seat position. i had this belt replaced, but this time i asked the dealer for the defective belt. i have it. do you want it? i feel that one failure may have been bad luck, but two failures seems like there may be a problem with the components.
