TIRES

Excessive tire wear on outer edge of tires. third set of tires in 35k miles. alignment has always been checked and has always been in spec. tires have been rated for 50 to 70k miles only getting 15k. maybe the awd that is causing it?? front struts were replaced before i bought the car. i am in the process of replacing them again with new rear shocks (monroe reflex). this is the second grand voyager. first one never had any problems under the same driving conditions. dealer has no explanation except to increase tire pressure. i want to know if this is an isolated problem or not and what i can do to get it corrected.*ak

This is the second blow out of these tires and one flat tire since bought . the first blow out was striaght across the top of the w in winston tire logo two weeks after buying the set. i was drive thru a construction site. the drivers side front went thru a small pot hole , the rear tire just went flat. it was a saturday morning and the winston dealer did not want to take care of the tire did not get me in wedensday at the soonest. they would road hazard the tire,i feel this was a bad tire. they wanted to sell me another road hazard. while on a trip to montana and back to phoinex az. a peice of montana road sand when the face of one of the tires (they still have not paid the flat repair). while there i asked them to give me their opion of these tires. their answer was not drive on gravel at all and don't hit anything bigger than a piece of gravel. the last blowout was while trying to do a u-turn. i had to pull up on to the curve. it blowout as soon tire touched the curb. i know my speed was less than 15mph. for i did not to do a front end alinement. the place where this tire blow out was the same as the other. in the past years now my own rigs i have had two blow outs, one running over a railroad spike and the other a stick thur side wall. i have also worked in a tire shops before and did almost all my own tires while driving log trucks in montana for seven years. for they have told me that i don't know what i talking about.*ak (dot number: wns19018 tiresize: 205/70/15)
