On the morning of 12/7/98 i was driving north on morrie ave. cheyenne, wy. the road conditions dry, clear and there were no distractions. i had set my cruise control on 32 mph as there are always police in the area and speed limit is 30 mph. the next thing i knew i was being hit in the face and the steering wheel was jerked out of my hands and then i felt a impact with unknown object and another explosion and the feeling that my right hand was being pushed into the steering wheel. i smelled an awful smell and then saw all of this white powder around my face and a burning under my chin. my knee had been shoved into the steering column. i was taken to the hospital by ambulance where i spent almost four hours determining no medical problems had caused this accident. the vehicle was damaged by hitting protective posts on side of road causing irrepairable damage. daimler chrysler took the redings off the computer but refuse to give us the results of them. their only comment is that there was no malfunction. now in light of the recall of driverside air bags perhaps this information is not correct and if so why the refusal for the results?
