Total transmission failure. differential pin broke and cracked the bell housing. failure occurred without warning and less than 5000 miles after regular 90k transmission service. requires complete transmission replacement at est cost of $3,500. vehicle has been meticulously maintained with very light duty use. catastrophic failure of this component is unwarranted for well maintained vehicle of this age.
