| While driving there was clanking noise from the auto transmission, and the vehicle wouldn't shift gears. per dealership the transmission failed. | |||

| Total transmission failure. differential pin broke and cracked the bell housing. failure occurred without warning and less than 5000 miles after regular 90k transmission service. requires complete transmission replacement at est cost of $3,500. vehicle has been meticulously maintained with very light duty use. catastrophic failure of this component is unwarranted for well maintained vehicle of this age. | |||

| This is the second chrysler mini van that i have had to replace the transmission in in the last 12 months. i have seen several for sale ads for chrysler mini vans that have said w/ re-built or replaced transmission. *ak | |||
| Consumer contacted dealer in regard to a problem with front axle seal malfunctioning. upon inspection of axle, dealer noticed that transmission pan had metal shaving in it. also, all major gear parts were missing. please provide any further details. *ak | |||
