I was driving to the train station on the morning of august 29th when suddenly all of the van's interior lights came on. the lights stayed on for a few seconds and then went off by themselves, just as they had came on. as soon as the lights went off, all of the power door locks, including the rear gate, spontaneously unlocked. i re-locked the doors by using the locking switch on the drivers door. however, the sequence of the interior lights coming on, going off, and then all doors and the rear gate unlocking happened two more times, for a total of three times. it did not happen again after the third time. i called smith haven chrysler plymouth as soon as i got to work and made an appointment for friday, september 1st. the problem did not occur again either before or after i took the car in for service. they could not duplicate the problem when they examined the car. but since the doors unlocked by themselves i wanted to make sure that it was reported. i often have my grandchildren in the van and even though they are always buckled in, i don't want to have to wonder whether or not the doors are going to someday unlock themselves. so far it appears to have been an isolated incident.

If your not the correct organization to report this too, and you know the correct organization could you please forward this to them? this morning on the way to work my 1999 plymouth grand voyager's electrical system cut off and cut right back on again for no apparent reason. the cd player cut off, the door locks activated, the lights went out but the abs light came on afterwards. i was not going extremely fast about 45miles per hour, on a straight road with no bumps or vibrations to shake something loose. i'm concerned because if this had happened while i was passing someone it could have possibly caused an accident. i called the dealer and was told no one else had complained of this problem but thought i should let someone know in case it was a serious, re-call type of, problem

The printed circuit board that controls the instrument cluster has failed twice and had to be replaced. the mechanic admitted that this happens frequently with my vehicle and i can expect it to fail agian. there is an electrical problem that the dealership says does not exsist, yet my car constantly fails to operate properly and many electrical faults occur regularly. the headlights stop working, the radio cuts out, the instrument panel goes out, the door locks wont work, the hazzard flashers come on & will not shut off. the dealer insists that there is nothing wrong, yet the problems continue to plauge my vehicle.*ak

Headlights dim sharply in cold weather or traveling in wet conditions. if i hit a puddle in the road this will happen also or i might lose them all together, for about 30 seconds. this seems to be from insufficient insulating of wire harness. could cause a fire or severe accident, especially if traveling on a highway. *jb
