| Upon the purchase of a brand new pontiac g6 in 2008, i have had several problems from about the 5000 mile mark. it began with my tail lights staying on while driving, no matter what speed. when i apply the brakes, they would go off and come on while driving. a month later steering column started to knock when making turns, the dealership has regreased the shaft and the noise went away for a few weeks and has continued to make the noise. the dealer said it will not hurt anything and will not regrease it. all of these issues have been happening for 4 consecutive years. i have replaced several head lamps, once about every 2 months and wiring harness because they melt. the power steering started to go out in november of 2012 and several times since; it locks up and i am unable to drive it for a while and it just magically fixes itself. i had trouble putting my vehicle in park in january 2013 and my key would not come out of the ignition. i left it in for a few days and it came back out. yesterday, february 23, 2013 the airbag service light has come on. we have checked all fuses, and there seems to be none out. the vehicle has never been in any accident not even a dent on the vehicle. i have never recieved a recall for the vehicle either. maybe they are just not getting to me? *tr | |||

| First the rear door actuator worked 50% of time.then 0% . cruise worked intermittent. brake lights on while driving .hence stuck on. passenger side airbag module faulty. inopt. in that order. al have to be related and its a known problem in pontiac. and gm wants 730 to replace module 232 for door actuator.its b.s recall 2008 g6. they have recalled g8 for similar problems. *tr | |||

| My air bag sensor turned on in my car and it says to service my air bag. i called gm and they want to charge me $99.00 to put it on the machine. i have done some research and it seems like most of the pontiac have air bag sensor problems. can you let me know what recall there is on them. thank you | |||

| The passenger airbag sensor turns the airbag off when passenger sits off center. the airbag sensor will not reset if the passenger moves back to center of seat. i have had the sensor replaced and it will do the same thing. the only way to reset it is to turn the car off. i don't think this is safe and would like you to consider recalling the airbag sensor system. *tr | |||

| My daughter was driving a 2007 pontiac g-6. she was going around a curve entering the express way and the car did not respond to her turning the wheel therefore the car went into the ditch. the air bags did not deploy. consiquently she fractured her back. september 2007 in november 2007 my son was driving a 2008 pontiac g-6. he was going around a curve the car did not respond. the car rolled over hit a tree and killed my son. the air bags did not go off. *tr | |||

| During a heavy rain storm a tractor trailer in front of me slowed to pull off the road. i could not see his brake lights because of the rain and rear ended him. the impact was strong enough to break his bumper bar off (the part that hangs down from the actual bed of the trailer to prevent you from going beneath it). there are clear marks on my front bumper where his bumper hit. my airbag did not deploy. i estimate my speed was about 40mph although i skidded into him so i was slowing. i don't believe that he was stopped but was moving slowly as he pulled over. i dont know how often this occurs, once was enough for me. my vehicle is a total loss so no action is being taken to correct the failure. | |||

| I have had 2 major front end collsions in my 2008 pontiac g6. first wreck was in '08 i swerved from a deer, went in a ditch going over 60 mph and the airbag failed to deploy. they fixed the car and gave it a new front end. yesterday i was in an accident, rearended a grand marquis, the car i hit only had a scratched bumper. my g6 was completely smahed in, hood bent up, lights broken, mechanical parts pushed back. i hit the car in front of me going 45-50 mph and air bags failed to deploy again. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2008 pontiac g6. the contact stated that the front passenger side air bag module constantly fails. the dealer has replaced the module three times. the dealer also stated that if the module fails again after the warranty expires, they would not be responsible for the repair. the contact has to purchase an extended warranty to cover the repairs. the failure mileage was 6,058 and current mileage was 20,064. | |||
