| When you set the cruise or are just driving down the highway or in town the brake lights will come on without tapping the brake pedal. this will shut the cruise off and the brake lights will stay on for an extend period of time. not safe at all! *tr | |||

| A few weeks after i bought the car (had 50k) i knew there was something wrong with it i was entering onto the highway and it was hard to get it to 70 the trans was sputtering and the car was jerking. it does this at all speeds just super scary when im on the highway. now i was pulling out onto a main road and it would hardly go and said engine power reduced, service traction. sometimes its not on but it will come back on within a few minutes. when its in this mode it jerks to get it to 25 it feels like the transmission is going it jumps so badly and startles me i scream like a little girl. i made an appointment at gm dealer to look at it they had my car from open to close and told me to come get it and they did not have a chance to look at it. this is a huge safety issue. this car is unsafe. i have a whole list of issues with this car, its junk. i have to hold the key i the on position for up to an 8-9 count for it to start. wheel shakes when i brake, i have new brakes and rotors still does it even though everything is in good repair. right blinker does not turn off on its own, the left sometimes does not work either. i have a head light that keeps going out i've replaced it 3 times in 6 months!! the check engine (check gas cap) light is on. the shop said its some type of leak or air flow problem with the gas system. also sometimes when i turn it on it starts to idle all crazy. this car is to new i take care of it, to be having all these problems im at the shop at least every other week. this car is an unsafe huge annoyance !! *tr | |||

| The wiring in my headlight is either burning or shorting out my light bulb. there is the connector to attach the headlight to the car that is get hot enough to melt the plastic. it chooses when it wants to work and when i put in a new light bulb (i am aware not to touch the light bulb) it will work for about 2-3 weeks and then continue not to work. seeing as this is obviously a problem and friends of mine who also own the same car have the same problem i am wondering if this is not just a coincidence. this is becoming a huge pain in my rear!! *tr | |||

| I have had my car for little over a year and over the past 6 months i have had problems with my headlights staying on/working. my fiance went to change the bulb and when he did he noticed that the wires were melted. apparently its getting so hot that the wires are melting and my headlights stop working. we have tried replacing the bulbs at least twice and they still will not work. this is happening on both sides and i'm afraid it might cause a fire. since the dealer doesn't have anything on record they will not fix it and the parts are so expensive that i can't afford to get it fixed. please help me with this problem. thanks! *tr | |||

| Right low beam quit working, replaced headlight, worked for a very short time. found wiring harness burnt at bulb. contacted dealer to replace harness, they said i had to buy the whole headlight assembly for $160.00. i feel this is a gm defect, and gm should place a recall on this issue. they have a bulletin on this issue, but want to sell you the whole assembly. bulletin # sb-10-08-42-001a. why can't we just get the harness? is replacing the whole assembly going to solve the issue? i have been pulled over 2 times over this issue. gm needs to pay for this. *tr | |||

| I purchased my 2008 pontiac g6 in november 6, 2009. in the summer of 2010 my passenger side headlight went out. i didn't think anything of it because that happens from time to time. a month or so after replacing it, it went out again. after replacing the bulb 4 times i finally had a mechanic look at it who told me it was the low beam connector that has corroded and needs to be replaced. after replacing that part i didnt experience a bulb outage for 6 months or so. then one day when walking inside to my home i noticed the runner lights on the front headlights were lit and i could not shut them off. it ended up draining my battery and simultaneously made the passenger side headlight not work again. i took it to the dealership who fixed the runner light issue but told me in order to fix my headlight issue i would need to purchase a new headlight assembly because it smelled burnt. after going back in forth with them in trying to get them to acknowledge an electrical issue with the car i took the car home with one headlight until a few days later the driver side headlight went out. my high beams work but that is unacceptable to use around traffic. both low beam headlight bulbs are good but the connectors keep melting and corroding and the dealership will not acknowledge that the issue is bigger than buying headlight assemblys. i also now have some internal dash and control panel lights not working and those also stopped the same time as everything else. | |||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2008 pontiac g6. while parked, the contact noticed a large accumulation of water on the front passenger's side floorboard. the failure recurred after rainy weather conditions. in addition, there was mold under the front and rear passenger's side carpet. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the air conditioner was repaired. the problem recurred two times and the air conditioner was repaired each time. the contact had concerns of the health issues related to the mold. the manufacturer was notified of the problem. the failure mileage and vin were unavailable. kmj | |||

| I own a 2008 pontiac g6, i have been experiencing problems with my brake lights. the brake lights will come on automatically withought touching the brakes. when i step on the brake, they shut off only to come back on in a short time. the cruise control is also affected by this. cruise control will shut off when brake lights are on. i had changed the brake switch thinking this would fix the problem. it did nothing. i then brought it in and had it calibrated. this seemed to fix it, however, now the brake lights continuly stay on without touching the brake. my traction light also stays on and will not shut off when pressing the traction button. i strongly suggest something be done by gm to help with this issue. i have read many stories like my own about the same thing and nothing is being done. this is a huge safety issue in that drivers behind you may not be aware that you are breaking and could cause a crash. | |||

| I have a 2008 g6 that only has 50 thous miles. the rear door lock has stopped working. when looking online this seems to be a huge problem with this car. we now can not use this door as it will only unlock by hand and unless you go through the other passenger door you can not reach the lock. there should be a recall to fix this problem as it looks like almost all these cars have this same issue. | |||

| Pontiac 2008 g6 3,368 mileage power steering error, then transmission malfunction. 4/25/08 phoned dealership and scheduled repair for 4/28/08. had car towed to dealership on 4/27/08. 4/28/08 dealership discovered two broken wires in the vehicle speed sensor harness. they indicated that something had severed the wires and that the repair would not be covered by the warranty. i believe that there is a design flaw with the wiring harness. why would two wires be left unshielded from the elements? the dealership via my request received an one time customer goodwill warranty approval. i had the mechanic show the area in question. he has reinforced the wires with electrical tape. it appears to be a great repair. i am not sure why the manufacture did not do this originally. error codes po722, coooo and po700. i am concerned that this design will cause problems for other car owners. and could pose a safety issue if the wiring is severed at highway speed. *tr | |||
