| Tl - the contact owns a 2008 pontiac g6. the contact stated that while parked, she attempted to power on the driver seat warmer and it failed to engage. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for a diagnostic testing. the mechanic stated the seat heater module, the heated seat element back and cushion needed to be replaced. also the contact stated once the mechanic removed the driver seat there was evidence of a small fire in the heating pad that caused the heating pad to short out. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated the vehicle was not included in any recalls. the vehicle was repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 29,304 and the current mileage was 38,650. dr | |||

| Drivers seat, electrical, adjustable (2 way) failed to adjust up/down and tension spring protruded into seat area. removed seat to find weld broken at left rear adjustment bracket- broken/torn from steel seat support bar and bracket jammed against support bar. tension spring attached to adjustment bracket could have caused grave injury if bracket not jammed against support bar assembly. | |||
