I have a 2000 grand prix gt with 63000 miles. about a week ago i was traveling to work on a major highway when i had a vehicle come within inches of my bumper. i continued on to my job and the driver pulled into the parking lot next to me. i was then notified i have no brake lights. since this time my husband has tried to replace both bulbs, the fuse the stop lamp switch and checked wiring for any issues. none of these have solved the issue. looking through the net i have seen 100's of complaints from pontiac owners with the same problem and i have to wonder why pontiac has not lived up to their end of the bargain and done a recall on this. *jb

I am the owner of a 2000 pontiac grand prix and my taillights were both non operative, which resulted in a near miss rear end collision. i learned that the cause of this malfunction was due to a hazard switch that was stuck that takes out the brake lights when this switch malfunctions. i had no idea my lights were out and travel every week end on the interstate. my vehicle was literally an accident waiting to happen. i was one of the fortunate ones that found out before disaster struck. *jb
