Defect SummaryCertain monaco rv model year 2010 travel trailers manufactured between september 26, 2008 and july 31, 2009 fail to conform with requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 110, tire selection and rims. the tire and loading information label contains incorrect information which could lead to overloading the vehicle.
Consequence SummaryOverloading can result in failure of the frame components, possibly resulting in a sudden tire blowout or other failure which can result in loss of control of the unit and a crash could occur.

 Tl* the contact owns a 2009 trail sport by r-vision (n/a) . it is a 29 foot travel trailer. the contact stated that the floors are spongy and he feels as though he could fall through the boards. the side walls of all four tires are cracking open. the trailer was taken to a dealer where they installed one 2x4 across the bottom of the floor board underneath the unit. they cut a hole in the floor and then covered it with duct tape. the vehicle had been at the dealership for two months and the trailer was not completely repaired. he stated he cannot get in contact with the manufacturer, he has tried four different numbers and they all are not working. the trailer is a pull along and there is no mileage. updated 05/11/10. *lj
