Tl* the contact owns a 2005 safari coach cheetah. while driving 50 mph the rear trailing arms failed, which temporarily disabled vehicle control. he was able to regain control. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, and technician concluded that the trailing arm needed to be replaced at an expense of $1500.00. he contacted the manufacturer in reference to recall# 05v05300(suspension:rear:springs:leaf spring assembly). upon contact a representative stated that because the vehicle was previously repaired according to the recall, he was ineligible for an additional free remedy. no repairs were made. the failure and current mileages were 42,000. updated 10/29/09 *cn the trailing arm broke which caused the consumer to loose control. updated 10/29/09 *jb |
