Defect SummaryOn certain motor homes, fifth wheel and travel trailers equipped with a two-door refrigerator manufactured by the dometic corporation, the refrigerator may have a defect in the boiler tube. pressurized coolant solution could be released into an area where an ignition source (gas flame) is present.
Consequence SummaryRelease of coolant under certain conditions could ignite and result in a fire.
Corrective SummaryMonaco will be working with dometic in order to repair these refrigerators (please see 06e076). dometic will repair these refrigerators by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse, and a melt fuse free of charge. dometic has retained stericycle inc. to manage this campaign. stericycle will assist the owner in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. owners may contact dometic/stericycle at 1-888-446-5157 or monaco at 1-877-466-6226.

Defect SummaryOn certain class a motor homes, the spacer plate under the trailing arms had a transverse weld which creates a heat riser and cause the trailing arms to crack.
Consequence SummaryThis could create rough driving conditions and damage to rear suspension system. the driver could loose control of the motorhome and a crash could occur without prior notice.
Corrective SummaryDealers will inspect the replace the trailing arms for cracks and replacing the trailing arms and u-bolts in the rear suspension of the motorhomes free of charge. the recall began on march 29, 2005. owners may contact monaco at 1-800-685-6545.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2002 monaco safari coach zanzibar. the contact noticed that the rear driver side of the vehicle leaned down three inches. the dealer inspected the vehicle, but did not offer an explanation for the failure. the manufacturer stated that the suspension on the vehicle was inadequate and that no parts were available to perform a repair. as of july 10, 2007, the suspension has not been repaired. the contact stated that the parking brake does not engage properly. the dealer stated that the brake pads need to be replaced and the rotors need to be turned. they replaced the pads, but the failure persists. the current mileage is 56,000 and failure mileage was 48,000. updated 02-01-08 *bf updated 02/01/08 *tr
