| Defect Summary | Equipment description: aluminum replacement wheels installed on xp8 1999 and 2000 saleen xp* ford explorer and mercury mountaineer vehicles. wheel size 18 x 8.5, part nos. 121-373 painted silver, 121-375 chromed, and 121-375 painted white. these wheels develop hairline cracks emanating from the rear side of the wheel's spokes towards the front. | |||||||||||||||

| Saleen rims dated 25 lt2 5/15/00 nc cracked with no apparent reason risking the life of the driver of the car. saleen has replaced the four rims, still we feel this should be notified to the nhtsa to avoid anyone loosing their life. *jb | |||
