| I purchased my car new off the lot while out of state. i have had several issues with this vehicle. i am unsatisfied with saturn that they are not willing to look into these issues and fix, repair or replace the parts to fix the problems. unless continuously my expense. the brake lights are lit while driving down the road, and when you place your foot on the pedal and apply pressure, the lights will go off, thus removing your foot from petal, 8 seconds, the lights for my brakes are back on. mind you when you apply the brake, the lights go off, so explain this to the officers that stop me, and give me a ticket for repair because i don't have brake lights when stopping!! not to mention the times of being almost rear ended because of this issue! getting it fixed and it continues to reoccur is getting old. does someone really have to be killed to fix this problem? the braking system in general with the rotors and pads has been a consistent repair replace factor. i have replaced brake pads, had rotors turned, had them replaced, etc minimum of every 10,000 miles due to the rotors being warped, causing severe shaking in the front end. service garage at saturn dealer just says this is a continued problem with the aura vehicles, but nothing is getting resolved. again, does someone really have to be killed to get these real issues settled? these are issues with the brakes, not with something minor. again, issues with the air bag service light coming on, and the garage not finding a repeating error, occurs yet occasionally. fix by turning car off and restarting. inflate tire signal repeatedly occurs, yet to find actual cause for this issue. these are the real concerns i have with this vehicle, minor issues are the doors filling with water, pealing of interior on black areas of door molding, handles. failure of increase of immediate speed when wanting extra power to pass or coming in on ramp to highway traffic and does not kick down immediately. *tr | |||

| The front air dam on my 2007 saturn aura has broken off the car. i had visited alldatadiy.com and found a technical service bulletin campaign 07215 dated aug 2007. when i had my car in for state inspection in march 2008, the dealer(saturn of syracuse) told me the part would be replaced as they had seen other aura's with the same problem and they were ordering parts. when i checked back with the dealership, they said that general motors decided not to pay for a replacement part. i believe that this is also a problem on other gm cars. *tr | |||

| I purchased a 2007 saturn aura xr new from saturn of thornton rd. in march 2008. beginning at purchase i have had to have the brakes replaced, 2 window motors redone, steering parts ordered and put on door handles replaced, and i am currently waiting for more steering parts and door handles to be ordered. i make monthly trips to this dealership to have something repaired...please help me. *tr | |||

| I purchased a 2007 saturn aura xe. i discovered a major issue with the car. while driving for 1 hour in pouring rain, i started hearing a water sloshing noise in my driver's side door every time i came to a stop. after further investigation i determined that when water/rain was poured onto the outside of the door, over half the water would find its way into the door, collect in the door, and would only drain out when the door was opened (there is a hole at the bottom of the door, under the molding that water can drain out of). i called my saturn dealership and then confirmed they had seen this issue once before. they ordered a new outside window seal part and i just had it installed. i will write again if the problem is not fixed. i was told that when the dealership ordered the part, that the part # had a revision on it (meaning that the original part must of had a defect and was replaced with a fixed part). i am writing this to inform all aura owners to test your driver's side door to see if you have this issue also. if i had not heard the sloshing noise, the problem would have gone undetected and probably ruined the electronics inside my door eventually, not to mention causing mold. i tested this by using a garden hose and spraying the passenger side window for 30 seconds, then opening the door and seeing how much water flowed out the hole in the bottom of the door, then repeating for the driver's side door. i was noticing that 50x more water was flowing into my driver's side door. i would bet this is a huge issue with lots of auras affected, but this is one of those things that normally would go undetected unless you know what to look for. *tr | |||

| Underdoor rocker panel separation from car on both sides resulting in a 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap that allows water, carbon monoxide or any type of liquid road debris to enter the passenger cabin. this has occurred on a 2007 saturn aura xr, purchased on 30 apr 2007. the car presently has 4020 miles on the odometer. complaints to saturn corp. and my local retailer have resulted in no action to date. a complaint to the bbb is presently in progress; however, i am reporting this to the nhtsa because i believe that as the car grows older and the exhaust system wears, a possible leak of carbon monoxide gas can enter the cabin and cause an accident or death. this defect can be seen on many saturn aura automobiles. *tr | |||
