| Tl-the contact owns a 2006 saturn ion 2. the contact stated that while driving approximately 25 mph, the engine stalled without warning. the vehicle was merged to the side of the road and after waiting ten minutes the vehicle restarted. the failure occurred sporadically. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who stated the faulty anti theft pass lock would need to be replaced. the vehicle had not been repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the problem. the approximate failure mileage was unavailable. pmb | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2006 saturn ion. the contact stated the ignition switch failed. the contact stated that in some instance the key became lodge in the ignition switch which prevented that the vehicle was turn off. also, the contact mentioned that the vehicle will not start for 30 minutes or more. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnose that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. the vin was not available. the failure mileage was unknown and the current mileage was 80,000.pmb | |||

| I am not able to turn off the car. the key will not turn to shut off the car. i had to find the fuse for the ignition in order to be able to turn off the car. i have read that there are many people having this issue and this could have been a disaster if i were out of town. i can't believe there is not a recall for this issue. this also happened to my son who has the same model and year that i have. i don't know how i am going to get gas as you have to turn the car off to do this, as it is a federal regulation. *tr | |||

| My car is only 5 years old and now has 36,000 miles on it. whenever it is cold outside my car does not start. all of the lights work and the car will make a click, but the car itself will not turn on. i have been stranded multiple times at night in the freezing cold with no way of getting home. two times i have been stranded in a dark parking garage. this is constantly re-occurring problem and i see that hundreds of people have had the same issue. when i have taken my car to the shop i have been told it is electrical problems. this problem should be recalled as many people have the same problem. also, i have had many issues with the fuel system. i have already had the fuel injector replaced,and the fuel tank replaced. it is in the shop again today because there were more issues with the fuel system. the fuel in my car was not heating up the the right temperature, and i was getting about 30% less miles per tank than before. over the few years i have had cords to the fuel system replaced, removed, adjusted, etv. i have spent thousands of dollars on repairs for a 5 year old car with 36,000 miles on it. and it is the same problems happening over and over. | |||

| On 4/26/11, i took my car in for repairs and the dealer replaced the fuel pump, which was covered by a recall. at that time, i purchased an extended warranty that had a 30 day and 1,000 miles waiting period. on 5/22/11, i drove home and went to turn my key off and it would not turn off. i had to call aaa to come out and they pulled a fuse to get the engine to shut off. then they disconnected the battery and put the fuse back in. i had to hook the battery back up to drive the vehicle to the dealership. they had to replace the cylinder lock and housing for a cost of $594.00. this problem should be cosidered a safety issue and be subject to a recall! i have seen 138 complaints just on this issue alone. what does it take? | |||

| Saturn ion 2006 brand new had three days when cruise control would not engage.phoned dealer was told to stop and restart to fix problem.did not change.steering wheel began to lob side to side.took to dealership was told after diagnosis it was body mount.power steering prompt appeared after repair wwhile driving expressway power steering ceased working causing me to almost wreck.will not start until 10 minute delay.cannot drive anyway with manual steering.this problem is electrical.door locks will not open or lock properly.car is very dangerous and will not allow anyone to drive it. | |||

| Tl* the contact owns a 2006 saturn ion. when he turns off the engine he cannot remove the key from the ignition. he had to pull the fuel injector fuse to turn the vehicle completely off. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for repairs and they reinstalled the same parts back in the vehicle. the manufacturer was notified, and he was advised that he would have to pay for the repairs. the failure mileage was 37,455. | |||
