My car is only 5 years old and now has 36,000 miles on it. whenever it is cold outside my car does not start. all of the lights work and the car will make a click, but the car itself will not turn on. i have been stranded multiple times at night in the freezing cold with no way of getting home. two times i have been stranded in a dark parking garage. this is constantly re-occurring problem and i see that hundreds of people have had the same issue. when i have taken my car to the shop i have been told it is electrical problems. this problem should be recalled as many people have the same problem. also, i have had many issues with the fuel system. i have already had the fuel injector replaced, and the fuel tank replaced. it is in the shop again today because there were more issues with the fuel system. the fuel in my car was not heating up the the right temperature, and i was getting about 30% less miles per tank than before. over the few years i have had cords to the fuel system replaced, removed, adjusted, etv. i have spent thousands of dollars on repairs for a 5 year old car with 36,000 miles on it. and it is the same problems happening over and over.

Gas fumes have been noticed within the car, outside the car near the fuel tank, and strongly within the trunk. there is a recall for fuel leakage #09v419000, however, my car doesnt qualifiy since its not registered and/or was purchased in the states listed. new jersey had a record breaking heat and the highest amount of hot days therefore the recall/bulletin should be updated immediately to include nj. for total repairs for this serious safety defect.this a definite safety issue and i feel that the manufacturers and dealers are accountable for this repair. they sold this vehicle with good faith and profit. i bought it for the safety, and yet this car is not safe to drive.

Car was slow to start. took the saturn ion to dealership for check up. mechanic smelled gasoline and noticed leakage. upon mechanic inspection of part, found cracks in fuel pump and leakage from fuel tank. mechanic replaced fuel pump and tank at my expense. car was bought new in 2006 and has 54,000 miles. dealer refuses to honor recall because vin number does not match current recall list.

We noticed a strong of gasoline and a leak at the rear of the car. mechanic said that the plastic line connecting on the fuel pump module was cracked and gas was leaking. we purchased the part from a saturn dealership and had our mechanic install. the part cost $346.00 and our mechanic charged us $100.00 to install it. our mechanic suggested we do some research regarding a possible recall on this part and when i did that i found a recall for our vehicle but only for certain states. our state, missouri, is not included in this recall, but i don't understand why it matters what state you live in. *tr
