| Saturn vue. letter from senator demint on behalf of constituent hope caughman re a saturn vehicle. *nj the hood latch cable was replaced due to a slack feeling when it was pulled on to open the hood. in the beginning of november 2009, the vehicle had a noticeable hesitation when shifting into drive and driving forward. the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer and upon their review and test drive, she was informed it was likely a transmission issue. the consumer then went to a transmission specialist and was told the vehicle would need a new transmission at a cost of over $5,000. the consumer learned via the internet that gm had been involved in and lost a class action suit in the spring of 2009. saturn vue owners were told there was a defect with the transmission which also included the consumers vehicle, however she never received any information regarding the defect. *jb | |||
