Defect SummaryOn certain toy hauler travel trailers, the wiring installed for an aftermarket generator is 14-gauge wire. the generator requires the use of 8-gauge wire.
Consequence SummaryUsing the generator could cause the wire to smolder, burn or the circuit breaker to trip increasing the risk of a fire.
Corrective SummaryDealers will replace the 14-gauge wire with 8-gauge wire. skyline is recommending that owners do not use the generator until this wire has been replaced. the recall began on may 2, 2007. owners may contact skyline at 1-800-736-2573.
