 Tl-the contact owns a 2007 subaru forester. the contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the front driver's seat bracket fractured on both sides which caused the seat to collapse onto the floor. the contact was able to continue to drive cautiously. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the bracket was welded. the manufacturer was notified of the problem. the approximate failure mileage was 73,000. pmb

 Tl- the contact owns a 2007 subaru forester. the contact stated that in october 2008, while driving approximately 25mph the drivers side front seat seperated from the base of the vehicle. the dealer was notified and they advised her to bring the vehicle in to the shop. per the mechanic, the weld that connects the seat to the frame had failed. subaru paid for the repair and a rental vehicle. the seat was okay for a while but recently the seat began to rock back and forth again. the dealer was contacted again and they replaced the pre welded seat bracket. subaru corporate stated to the owner that the seat had been repaired but the vehicle may not be safe. the owner does not feel the vehicle is safe. the failure mileage was approximately 55,000. the current mileage is approximately 69,500. rd
