 We were driving on highway i-95 going between 55 and 60 miles an hour and the hood latch failed. the hood came up blocking our vision and broke the windshield. extensive damage to car. we were traveling in the far right lane and were lucky that we could pull the car off the highway into the breakdown lane. we were very lucky no one was behind us.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2002 subaru psw legecy outback. the contact stated that the vehicle lock nuts were not fastened securely and unscrewed off the vehicle, while the contact was driving 55 mph on the highway. the vehicle was towed to a local repair shop, where the failure was repaired. neither the dealer or manufacturer were contacted. the failure was 150,000 and the current mileage was 155,000. the vin was unavailable. nw
