Tl* the contact owns a 2006 suzuki bergman an650. the motorcycles speedometer and odometer reading were displaying incorrect readings. the contact noticed that the readings were incorrect after he purchased the gps. the contact stated that the gps speedometer and odometer readings were accurate. the failure mileage was 600. the contact called the suzuki manufacturer, and was informed by a technical representative that the readings were within the tolerance limit. the manufacturer also recommended that for an accurate reading the contact should call the yellow box company and they would correct the failure for a fee. the contact purchased the motorcycle a month ago, and was questioning if the mileage at that time was fraudulent. the current mileage was 1,800. *ak updated 04/12/07. *jb
POWER TRAIN - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

My transmission on my suzuki burgman 650 keeps going out. it seems to happen about every 12 to 15k miles; with the exception of this last time it happened at about 5k. the scooter doesn't shift out of second gear. it first starts with intermittent gear shifting problems then gets severe and stays in first or second. i've had it in the shop 3 times now in just over one year. every time its been in the shop, its been there for on average at least 2 months. the longest the bike has been in the shop was for three months. effectively the bike has been in the shop for about a third of the time that i've owned it. i really like the bike but i think this a problem that the company should recognize and rectify. *tr

This is a potentially dangerous situation involving a 2006 suzuki burgman scooter here are some details: purchased new 2006 suzuki burgman scooter, with only 138 miles on this scooter my self(dave) and the service manager(trevor) noticed rusty weld joints,he contacted his area suzuki service rep and we both were shocked at his solutionjust put touch up paint over the rust?????????????? we both thought suzuki would either send another scooter to replace this one or at the very least replace the frame! after all the frame is the back bone of this scooter and rust in the weld joints after 138 miles of use suggests an unsafe condition! i continued to ride this scooter waiting to here from the suzuki rep i was contacted by suzuki once concerning the rusty welds and they too suggest touchup paint?????????????? this is not a safe repair the frame should be replaced in the interest of safety. i told suzuki i was giving them time to respond and it has been 5 months and no one from suzuki has contacted me or trevor i'm turning to you for help in this situation and to remedy a potential hazard. thank you for your response david a zichek. *nm
