| Tl-the contact owns a 2006 suzuki forenza. the contact stated there are many defects with the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where they stated all the failures are not cover under warranty and she has to pay out of pocket for all the repairs. the defective parts are the front and rear struts, throttle body, door handle and transmission range censor. the manufacturer was not contacted by her. the dealer informed her they contacted the manufacturer and was told the vehicle was not covered under the warranty and she would have to pay for all repairs. the failure mileage was 56,000....mw | |||

| 2006 suzuki forenza which i bought in february 2008. the interior handle on the passenger and driver side broke off within 4 months of each other a year after i had the vehicle. normal use of handles (trying to exit vehicle). never experienced anything like that. after reading through your complaints, i see others have the same problem. i went to dealer who had no information about a recall. he informed me of the cost of $120+ to repair the two plus the cost of the handles. *tr | |||

| The inside door handles on the 2006 suzuki forenza are made of cheap plastic and defective. the passenger side broke off and then the one on the back door broke off. i took my car into a dealer for the seat belt recall and was never advise at that time they could replace the handles if i was still within my mileage for my warranty which at the time i was. another suzuki owner had the same issue so we called the dealer and was advised yes we're aware of that problem but can only replace them for free if you vehicle is still under warranty!! if not there is a $50.00 labor charge per door plus the handle cost. suzuki hasn't listed this issue as a recall. upon doing more research i found a website with numerous complaints in reference to the plastic door handles breaking off. now on the 2007 suzuki forenza they use chrome handles.. hmmm wonder why? i feel cheated, if suzuki is aware that this could cause someone harm in the event of an accident and the consumer has to roll down there window to open the door couldn't that be a potential law suit? i'm in hopes someone of authority can look into this and have this listed as a recall, it is unfair to all who own a 2006 forenza to have to pay for a mistake they made trying to cut cost on the assembly line. *tr | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 suzuki forenza. the contact stated that when a passenger in the rear seat tried to exit, the handle broke off and the passenger was injured. three months later, the front passenger handle broke. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership for repair. the failure mileage was approximately 70,000. the current mileage was approximately 80,000. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 suzuki forenza. while the contact was attempting to exit her vehicle the inside door handle broke and landed in her hand. the same failure has also occurred on the passenger side of the vehicle. the dealer stated that the door handles needed to be replaced. there were no prior warnings. the current and failure mileages were 50,000. updated 10/27/09.*lj the consumer also stated the shift relay was inoperative. the shifter locked up and the consumer was unable to start the vehicle. she was able to place the key in into the unlock safety lock and push the shifter in an unlocked position, then she was able to start the vehicle. the consumer stated the ignition locks up. updated 10/29/09 | |||

| When i first brought the car on 1/30/2006, it started giving me problems,such as not starting up, the engine light on and off all the time. the emergency brake light on constantly. the power windows rolling up and down by themselves. the power locks stop working and then work over and over again. when i'm driving, the car jerks and pulls all the time. (the pulling is coming from the transmission). i am a single mother of two and i feel real bad about getting stuck with a lemon. after i get out of school i take classes at night and my kids go to the daycare on campus when i picked them up after class, got in the car, started it up, and the front two windows rolled down by themselves, and would not roll up and it was snowing and we had to ride all the way home like that. the dealership doesn't care. as far as they are concerned, it is not their problem. it is a messed up world we live in where someone knows that you really need a car and they screw you with a lemon. until this present day, all these problems described still exist but so do me and my son-3 and my daughter-6 if anybody can help, it would be greatly appreciated. thank you. *jb | |||

| I have purchased a 2006 suzuki forenza. as a certified crime prevention inspector, i have discovered features of this vehicle that will prove to be a safety concern for any driver/owner of this vehicle. the locks on the vehicle do no operate independently. the driver of the vehicle controls all locking devices on his/her side. an example of this is that the passenger if the vehicle cannot open his/her door if it is locked. the driver has to open the door. in the event that the driver is incapacitated the passenger would have extreme difficulty getting out of the car. also, when the driver unlocks the door all locks open. in the event that there is someone trying to gain unauthorized entry into the vehicle they will be able to do so without difficulty; putting the driver in extreme danger. there is no way for the rear seated passengers to exit the vehicle without the driver unlocking the door. in the event of a fire a passenger would perhaps literally have to break out a window to exit. this would take time and the passenger or passengers may perish. these are extreme safety concerns which i pray will be investigated! *nm | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 suzuki forenza. while driving at various speeds, the hood has a tendency to slightly open. the contact has applied pressure to the hood several times, but it would not remain completely shut. he believes the hood latch is defective because it is not connecting properly to the locking mechanism. the dealer and manufacturer have not been notified. the failure and current mileages were 22,000. | |||
