ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

When turning my car on and putting it into reverse, the check engine light came on and my car jerked into gear and where the r should appear for reverse on the dash, all the letters were scrambled together. the car drove in reverse and then when i put it into drive, it jerked again and then would hardly accelerate. after driving the car for a couple minutes, turning it off, and turning it back on, it would finally accelerate but the check engine light would still be on and the gears would still jerk. the check engine light would go off after a couple days and everything would be fine and then it would all start again. then my car is starting to switch over into neutral when driving 60mph+ and now it will do is multiple times when driving at any speed. when it switches over to neutral like this while i'm driving, the d for drive on the dash will become scrambled like it does when it jerks into reverse. the problem is getting worse.

I have had numerous issues with the range switch in my 2007 suzuki forenza. the first time at approximately 38k miles, and now again at approximately 70k miles. each time i've had this fixed, it has cost me over $200. suzuki customer service refuses to acknowledge this as a defect, and continues to take money from their clients who purchased faulty vehicles.

Tl-the contact owns a 2007 suzuki forenza. while driving approximately 65 mph she heard a dripping noise coming from the engine and the air bag light was constantly on. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the dealer was unable to locate a failure. the failure continued. she also stated that the passenger front door handle came off. the vehicle was purchased in april 2007 by june 2007 all four door handles had came off the vehicle. the vehicle has been taken to the dealer three times for the failures. she contacted gmc and they referred her to another dealer and this dealer replaced the bottom portion of the engine. the contact stated there was also a problem with the transmission and the vehicle slips out of gear. she stated the dealer has performed a diagnostic and no codes are find for a failure. she stated the engine light was now on. the manufacture has suggested that she take the vehicle back to an authorized dealer to get the repairs done. the vehicle has not been repaired for any other the failures. the failure mileage was 200 and the current mileage was 73,507. vwb

The problem started on 7/12/09. i had just gotten an oil change at wal-mart in jacksonville, ar, and as soon as i turned on the car the check engine light was on. wal-mart of course denied any damages, but stated if something was done on their part they would reimburse me for the damages. from there i went to auto zone and was told that the codes were 700 and 705, which referred to the transmission sensor. the very next day the check engine light went off. long story short, since that time the light has come on several times. prior to the light coming on, my car would be in drive but would hesitate and feel as if it is in neutral. also, a line would go across the d (drive) on my dashboard, and all of the other gears would appear to be something different on the dashboard (i.e. p (park) on the gear shift would read r (reverse) on the dashboard. i feel that this should not be happening on a 2007 model car. there are 62, 000 miles on this car, which are mostly highway miles. this is very frustrating and from what i have read on the web, this is a very common problem. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 suzuki forenza. while driving approximately 65 mph, the contact heard a dripping sound underneath the vehicle. the vehicle was returned to its place of purchase and the dealer also stated that there was an issue with the passenger side air bag . the contact was informed that the sensor was working properly and the dripping sound was caused by the condensation from the air conditioner. a few months later, the motor began making a knocking sound. she took the vehicle to a repair shop and they stated that the sound was coming from the top part of her motor. she took the vehicle to the dealer and they kept it for over a month; however, the knocking sound remained. three weeks later, a suzuki specialist replaced the motor. even after the motor was replaced, the knocking sound persisted. the contact was informed that the vehicle was working in the manner it was designed. weeks after the contact retrieved the vehicle, the noise grew louder. the vehicle was returned to the dealer and they stated that they only replaced the top part of the motor. they kept the vehicle and checked the oil level. days after retrieving the vehicle, while traveling and coming to a stop sign, it suddenly stalled and lost all power. the vehicle was taken to her residence and she believes that the vehicle is a lemon and full of manufacturer defects. she cannot afford any more repairs or towing. the failure mileage was 11 and current mileage was 40,000.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 suzuki forenza wagon. the contact stated that the vehicle has a serious hesitation issue. while driving between 30-50 mph, the vehicle hesitates and decelerates. it does not lose complete power and the service engine light remains illuminated. the contact has taken the vehicle to the dealer five times and they replaced the wiring harness, accelerator, a few sensors, and reprogrammed the computer in the vehicle. the repairs only temporarily correct the issue for a few weeks, but then the failure recurs a month later. the contact is also experiencing failure with the passenger side air bag. the air bag remains off whenever an occupant is seated in the passenger seat. the dealer stated that it was supposed to remain off for a child's safety, but the owner claims that the failure occurs when adults are seated in the passenger seat as well. the dealer has not attempted to repair the air bag defect because they clam it is working as it was designed. the air bag defect has been occurring since the vehicle was purchased with approximately 30 miles. the failure mileage for the hesitation issue was 3,000 and current mileage was 12,000.
