On may 2, 2011 i purchased 3 riken raptor 85v 195/155vr5 tires from aspen tire & auto, inc. in wilmington, north carolina for my 2007 suzuki forenza. on may 13, 2012 (1 year later) while driving on a paved road after a turn left onto a two lane road with a speed limit of 40 mph we suddenly heard what sounded like a very loud bang, following by a significant drop on the right passenger side of the car and many more loud banging, and thudding sounds. we did not hit anything in the road. the vehicle was dropped down on the right side and was extremely difficult to drive. we had to drive approx. 100ft or soto pull over as there is no room on this small paved road to pull over without impeding traffic. when we looked at the car we could see the side front fender had completely pulled out from the car, the tire in shreds and the rim looked as if it was smashed. the tire side wall was blown out with the tread/belt was completely intact however cleanly sheared off right along the seam. we are sure that the pressure on all the tires was inline as my husband had checked and corrected only the week before following dealer manufacturer recommended for both the car and tire. we check our tire pressure regularly and in fact we use the average of the lower pressure recommended for the car and the high pressure or max recommended my michelin. the treads were not worn and there was no prior damage or wear. after spending much of my time and money to send the tire to their inspectors - michelin denied paying for the damages which have cost $373.28 out of pocket, stating that they determined that the tire was run-flat. the pictures they sent to me to compare damages of a run-flat tire look nothing like my tire damage and we are diligent about checking the tire pressure. i don't believe that their across the board determination matches what happened to my tire and feel that this particular tire may have been defective. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 suzuki forenza. two months after purchasing the vehicle, the contact received a recall notice for the seat belts. the recall repairs were performed, but afterwards the seat belt would not latch for approximately one month. at 7,000 miles, the vehicle speed control became inoperable. at 22,000 miles, the driver's side passenger door latch cracked at the base. as a result, the contact had to roll down the window and open the door from the rear in order to exit the vehicle. the vehicle began pulling to the left while driving between 40-70 mph. an independent mechanic stated that the tire had a hole in it and would be patched. also, the vehicle needed an alignment and the contact was informed to take it back to the dealer to have the specifications checked when the alignment did not correct the issue. the failure mileage was 7,000 and current mileage was 23,450.

During a routine oil change and tire bal i was adv my kumho tires had severe tire rot and my tires began ripping from the sides. i was told to contact my dealer i took it to the suzuki repair shop who adv me and put in writing ii had no tire rot and what had occur was fault of my own , i was disturbed by there findings and got a third opinion who did adv i had severe tire rot and the veh was unsafe to drive. my veh was only 6 months old and my tires where already ripping apart my tread wear was less than 25% and the manufacturer date of my tire was 02/06. the repair shop was the worst experience i ever had but kumho did replace all 4 of my tires they also agreed they had severe tire rot. *jb

Suzuki forenza 2007, 42,000 miles. 1) transmission range sensor: transmission slips when in drive -- panel shows a d with a slash through it. after researching, have found this to be extremely common among the most well-maintained forenzas. unacceptable. engine light came on and as soon as i tried to go forward ,the car would just decelerate down like 10 0r 20 mph scary within a matter of seconds and no matter how much i pushed the pedal to accelerate to the floor but it was as if i didn't have power. 2)tire pressure light comes on every other day. 3)the front passenger air bag light comes on to show the air bag is not working even if i have a passenger seated properly in the front seat.

My tire went flat on saturday july 12th, 2008 and i went to a local gas station and they checked the tire for me. they took it apart and found no hole in the tire and realized that my valve was broken with a sensor attached to it. they took the part out and replaced it with a regular valve without the sensor. i called suzuki in plaistow, new hampshire where i bought the car and they referred me to the hooksett location in new hampshire. i brought my car into the hooksett location on july 19th, 2008. i currently do not have the piece i gave it to the service department. i also found out the tire was no good because it kept going flat and caused damage. they couldn't replace the tire itself for free so i had to come out of pocket and pay for a new tire. they replaced the valve with sensor attached for free, but i am concerned that this will keep happening to all my tires and that i will get into an accident. *tr
