Throttle response on my 2006 grxr 600 has been terrible since the day i bought the bike. it is near impossible to have throttle control at slow cornering speeds. suzuki has offered no assistance with this bike since the day i bought it. this condition will cause an accident it is only a matter or time. *tr

I purchased it new and it now has over 6000 miles. the transition from off throttle to slightly on throttle or the other way around is extremely jerky. it is very annoying. i have had this problem for most of the time that i have owned the bike. i am a very experienced rider, street and track, (10 years and 160,000 miles) and have owned several other bikes, but on this bike, there is nothing i can do with my throttle hand to transition smoothly from off throttle to slightly on throttle. when going straight, i can be decelerating or accelerating, but i can not hold a constant speed - i have to alternate between on and off throttle and each transition involves a big jerk. smooth throttle operation is one of the most important aspects of proper stability of a motorcycle during cornering. the transition from off throttle to slightly on throttle while leaned over is so jerky that it creates a major mid-corner distraction and is very unsettling. the problem occurs in all gears and all rpms and in various weather conditions. about 80% of the time that i am riding this bike i have to deal with this annoyance. the other 20% it works wonderfully. usually when i first start the bike and drive off it works fine, but within a few minutes the jerky throttle problems begin. so far i have not been able to solve this problem.

Abrupt on/off throttle can cause sudden and unexpected rapid deceleration and acceleration, destabilize the vehicle potentially leading to loss of control and a crash. the problem seems to occur at lower engine rpm's (4,000-6,000 rpm) and seems most prevalent at high engine temperatures (205+ degrees) and especially when the vehicle is turned on and started while at higher temperatures. although is can be felt in any gear, 2nd and 3rd gear seems to be the most pronounced. this condition is very unsettling for the rider and the bike while traveling around a curve. *tr

2006 gsxr600 has fault in ecu/efi that cause erratic throttle response after stopping and restarting the vehicle hot. this problem does not occur with a cold start. the problem prevents the rider from maintaining a steady rate of speed in normal traffic situations and destabilize the chasis when entering and exiting turns. a very large number of owners are reporting exactly the same problem with the 2006 model on several different web based forums. the vehicle has been like this since it was purchased. *tr

1.) at this point there is no failure...yet. 2.) 2006 suzuki gsxr 600 motorcycle have severe on/off throttle response. this is the 2nd gsxr lineup motorcycle that i own at this time and both with this same problem. when applying throttle, no matter how much and/or how smooth the application is, motorcycle has a abrupt response. problem is also very bad when getting of the throttle also. by saying abrupt motorcycle does not accelerate or decelerate smoothly. if not done at the utmost care, operator can be very easily be thrown off and/or severely effect the balance of the motorcycle therefore causing injury, property damage and possible death. motorcycle cannot maintain smooth/constant speed smoothly at any speed, gear or temp of motor. noticed the problem after riding a different brand of motorcycle and after someone rode my bike to confirm the problem. abrupt throttle response is slightly better after installing an aftermarket fuel injection unit but problem is still very present! seems like a fuel injection and or throttle problem. both of my gsxr's throttle cables, linkages have been checked and are all good. *tr

Very abrupt throttle response whether rolling on or off the throttle. extremely dangerous in corners to the point of almost loosing control on numerous occasions. there is no neutral point with the throttle. it is either full on or full off. *tr

My 2006 suzuki gsxr has a problem with the throttle response when giving throttle after a slow turn the bike seems to almost lose all engine power then kicks back in when you least expect it this is very dangerous in turns causing you to fall. *tr

This is a major problem that involves throttle response with this motorcycle. while riding, the throttle will go to full gas or completely cut off with the slightest bit of throttle change. it's to the point were i find it impossible to ride with a neutral throttle, because the smallest difference causes a major impact. i have gone to the dealer three times. they don't seem to know why this keeps happening. *tr

When riding this bike, trying to maintain steady speed is difficult. the engine rpm is very jerky and abrupt. i just hold the throttle steady and the bike jerks and then abruptly comes back on. this has happened a lot, but it is intermittent. it is very dangerous in corners especially, it has happened to me in mid corner and it upsets the bike handling very badly. it can lead to an accident, especially in a corner. when it has these problems, it is unridable and scary. when you ride it, it feels like you hit the kill switch off and on repeatedly. that is how bad it is to ride. i have taken bike to numerous suzuki dealers and none of them have fixed the problem yet. *tr

2006 suzuki gsx-r600 there is a throttle unpredictability which occurs during deceleration/acceleration(it jerks), and it upsets the suspension during turns which is a safety matter that suzuki needed to fixed before somebody gets injured or even cause death. there is a lot of complaints here, but suzuki seems to ignore it. *tr

Abrupt on/off throttle can cause sudden and unexpected rapid deceleration and acceleration, destabilizing the vehicle potentially leading to loss of control and a crash. the problem seems to occur at lower engine rpm's (4,000-6,000 rpm). *tr

In the month of july i began to notice a very touchy throttle at all ranges of rpm's. it has since continued throughout the last several months as well. i would shift into a higher gear to get try to get rid of the problem if i was just cruising for a moment but it would still jerk hard in, and even out of small throttle adjustments. very annoying and even painful with a passenger riding. i ride with several bikes of the same model and so far 100% of them have had the very same problem so i know it's not just mine. please report this to suzuki and have them post a warranty fix that would be much appreciated. *tr

I ride a k6 suzuki gsxr 600. my bike will occasionally cut out as if i were to keep tapping my killswitch on. i've been to the dealership three times. the problem is still not fixed. i first thought it was the kickstand killswitch. it was loose so i fixed it and the problem still persists. now im wondering if i could have a faulty s.e.t. valve or lemon ecu. this problem has caused me to loose control of the motorcycle and will contribute to more accidents and/or deaths. this problem has to be fixed. *tr

The bike will not accelerate with smooth power. the abrupt change in throttle (either rapid acceleration or deceleration) can cause loss of control and unstable riding condition. this is most noticeable in the lower rpm range and when the bike is at operating temp. *tr
