Defect Summary | On certain passenger vehicles, the front seat belt tongue will not latch into the buckle and, in rare cases, even the locked tongue will pop out by low stretching force. if the buckle does not latch completely, the buckle could release without pressing the release button. | |||||||||||||||

Manufacturer's (suzuki american cars/motors) dealership-pugmire linclon-mercury suzuki, service manager, forrest beaman, refused to replace the front seat belt tongue which can not latch into the buckle and, in rare cases, even the locked tongue will pop out by low stretching force. if the buckle does not latch completely, the buckle could release without pressing the release button. nhtsa campaign id number: 07v315000 please advise via email. thank you, george dean | |||

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 suzuki reno. the contact stated that her seat belt failed. the ford dealer stated that there were no recalls on the seat belt, but advised her to bring in the vehicle for repair. the contact plans to have the vehicle repaired on her next day off from work. the failure mileage was 34,000. |
