2004 suzuki verona ex kl5vm52lx4b100752. i purchased my 2004 verona from car max in austin, tx. i have been experiencing intermittent stalling, poor acceleration and jerking acceleration. there is no exact moment when this happens but it is becoming a serious concern within the past month as it has become more frequent. i used to happen a couple of times within the first month but has increased frequency to at least once to twice a day in the past 30 days. i purchased this car, used, and have only had it for 3 months.i took it to the suzuki dealership for an oil change and consulted with the service manager and was told since the engine light does not come on there is no error in the computer and can not be fixed. he said that repairs for this old of a car would cost more to try and find the error than its worth. cleo bay suzuki 3620 east whitestone boulevard cedar park, tx 78613 (512) 259-6600.

When driving at slow speeds the engine stalls. most recently this happened during stop and go driving at about 7 mph. when accelerating out of a stop the car jerks and lunges forward. when driving at highway speeds the car runs rough. when accelerating to higher speeds the car hesitates and jerks. customer has taken car into 4 different mechanics for these problems - most recently to the dealer who was unable to duplicate the stalling. various attempts have been made to fix the rough running (spark plugs, alignment correction), but the problem persists.

Periodic low idle miss occurred first for the last several months, occasionally, the check engine light would come on with it for a very short time. now, the engine stalls out at traffic stops. have recently been experiencing a forward surge upon pressing on the gas feed from a stop or low speed. i feel that my safety is at risk, i am afraid to make a left turn for fear the car will stop in front of oncoming traffic, be rear ended, or i could surge forward into another vehicle or pedestrian. i do not get any type of warning that this about to occur (the check engine light does not come on typically, and if it does come on occasionally with this problem, it does not light up until after the surge or power failure occurs. i am contacting the local dealership (52 miles away is the closest one). *tr

2004 suzuki verona problems with jolting after being stopped. consumer states that when the accelerator was depressed the engine would not register it right away until about 3 seconds or so then the vehicle would lurch forward. *kb the consumer also stated the check engine light would illuminate as well. while driving, suddenly the vehicle started dropping speed, the engine was running; there was simply no connection between the running engine and the gas pedal. because the consumer had the cruise control set, the gas pedal lodged into the floor board trying to maintain cruising speed. several components were replaced to try and resolve the problem such as the transmission, head gaskets, pcv, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, catalytic converter, and o2 sensor. the abs light illumined in october 2006. in march 2007 a new abs module was installed. *jb

I have had a series of safety concerns involving a recall notice that was issued due to a defect which exists in all 2004 suzuki verona passenger cars. the engine control module (ecm) has a program fault which causes the fuel to air ratio to become too lean in some circumstances, results in engine stalling. if stalling occurs, this can result in loss of control of the vehicle and a crash could occur without prior warning. i purchased a 2004 suzuki verona ex 2.5l automatic, vehicle id kl5vm52l54b097209 on 10/04/03 at the auburn suzuki dealership, giant of the valley. i returned to the dealer a dozen times for the same idle fluctuation issue as well as the check engine light coming on. i was told that the car was fine and that i could continue to drive it even with the check engine light on. i was told that they were working the check engine light issue. on 5/9/05 my car is dropped off at suzuki. on 5/10/05 i received a call (voice message on my cell phone) from jim golden at 5:09 p.m. stating that they ordered a throttle body assembly and that it would resolve the issues of idle dropping and idle quality. on 5/11/05 i returned jim golden

Vehicle has been repeatedly stalling since may of 2005 and been in the dealer's shop to be repaired at least four times with no improvement in the defect. vehicle stalls at deacceleration and at idle without warning. this is an extreme safety concern. the suzuki dealer has reprogrammed the fuel system control chip at least two times. suzuki motors america has now told the dealer to try replacing the throttle sensor and the cam sensor. the dealer (wendle suzuki) has been very cooperative, but suzuki is extremely slow to try to solve this problem.

2004 suzuki verona--- (1.) january 07, 2005- 7:00am- engine stalled and engine light came on. i drove vehicle to ferman suzuki dealership where it was repaired in approximately 30-45 mins. (2.) january. 24, 2005- 4:45pm - engine stalled again and engine light came on. (2nd time in 2 weeks.) dealer was supposed to call me today to advise when i could bring it in. (i have not heard from them as yet.) when i took the vehicle in yesterday, they said they do not have any appts. for a week. also, they could not provide me with a loaner car. i drove car from the lot. (3.) salesman, paul morris advised me and my friend that this happened to another customer. her engine fell out of her car while driving down the interstate. per paul, suzuki paid off her loan and replaced the vehicle. (4.) i advised paul and the service man that this sounds like a lemon law situation brewing here. also, since they know that this happened before, they should have taken my car into the shop and given me a loaner car. (5.) i contacted the nhtsa and was advised of the recall for the engine stalling on the suzuki verona. i was advised to enter a complaint on their web-site. *nm

Complaint no. 1 the fuel line of my 2004 suzuki verona became disconnected, causing me to lose power while i was driving and causing fuel to spill on the roadway. the problem was allegedly fixed by franklin square suzuki. however, a few months later, the fuel line again became disconnected causing me to lose power while driving and causing fuel to be spilled on the roadway. the problem was fixed by malmstrom suzuki. complaint no. 2. the brake pedal switch has become inoperable six or seven times. when the switch becomes inoperable, the brake lights are not activated when i depress the brake pedal. in addition, the transmission lever cannot be released from park unless i use the keyhole override. the problem has been repaired each time (occasionally after a few visits), but nevertheless, has occurred way too many times, even after suzuki supposedly came up with a fix fro the problem by redesigning the brake pedal switch. the most recent date is indicated below.*jb

Dt: contact owned a 2004 suzuki verona where the engine light was staying on. consumer took the vehicle to the service dealer about 7-8 times. they replaced the fuel cap, computer, and the oxygen sensor. consumer inspected the fuel cap and found that the rubber packing on the fuel cap was crooked. consumer reinstalled the rubber packing on fuel cap and this remedied the problem with the engine light staying on. consumer did go to the local service dealer and examined a fuel cap for a 2005 suzuki verona and found the same assembly of the fuel cap as for fuel cap. the sales consultant of the dealership witnessed the assembly of the fuel cap. *ak

Suzuki verona 2004: computer chip has to be reprogrammed because it doesn't regulate the engine. then when this is done the o-2 sensors and check engine light comes on. the computer chip causes the car to hesitate, stall and backfire. (flash of chip needed) suzuki then promises customer that they will get a car payment for their trouble in an attempt to entice them to...release suzuki from arbitration....but the check is a scam. (they alledgedly withdrew the offer when i asked for either a trade up to a non lemon or defective car or arbitration) there never was any proof of any check given to me. suzuki claims they had to obtain approval from epa to rewrite the chip...but i never received any recall notice. im uncertain of the technical terms but i believe if epa was involved that suzuki..verona might not meet emissions standards. on the date there isn't a certain date. *ak
