I had purchased my vehicle on 5/23/2006,around 3/2007 my engine light would come on and off,i took the vehicle to suzuki dealership here in miami,fl.,but they could not find anything wrong with the vehicle, one day as i was traveling the shifter got stuck, as i was shifting from second to third and it froze, and cost me an accident. i lost time from work, the accident occurred on 10/02/2006,i was out of work for about 9mths., and eventually they laid me off from work, because i could not return back to work at 100%.i have to have surgery on my left knee, my both wrist, and my right shoulder. it is going to cost me for these surgeries about $64,000.00,and i have to go through extensive rehab. in order to be back at 100%,i have tried to communicate with the manufacturer, but they place me on hold or give me the run around about my situation. i have not considered yet an attorney, because i thought that they would have help me resolve this matter, but they have not responded. *tr

I am so upset that my 2006 suzuki forenza transmission range sensor has been going out. i have had this part replaced back in 2009 and it went out while i was driving and almost caused a car accident as i was driving due to the gears shifting as i was on the expressway and had to pull over on the shoulder. i went to the suzuki dealership and advise of the problem and said that it not covered under the powertrain warranty. i am not have the same problem with my car and as i was going through a light with busy traffice the same issue and almost caused a car to rear ended me and due to the gear changing and causing my car to go slow. suzuki should have longer warranties on these parts longer that a year due to the part is not lasting. then the engine light will come on and then the dashboard gears will scramble. the next day the engine light went off and took it to suzuki and said can not help cause light went off. i drove the car for a few days and the light came back on and i was turning into the street to the turning lane and my car started to stall and oncoming traffic was coming. i am also upset that my lights keep going out and it was a recall and suzuki said that it was fixed and i am still having a issue. please help!

After purchasing my used vehicle in april of 2003 the vehicle seemed to shift hard when taken out of park, or switching from forward to reverse and so on. occasionally if felt like the gas pedal may be sticking a bit. the check engine light came on & the dealer had a mechanic look at it and replaced the oxygen sensor. but it didn't seem to help the shifting problem. on december 11, 2003 around 4:00 am, i was returning from down state on a two-lane highway, it was raining and around 34 degrees. the gas pedal stuck & the vehicle went out of control. spinning around several times, striking a guard rail, and going backward into the ditch. the vehicle attempted to roll-over but caught on the bank and slammed back on it's wheels. it struck hard enough to bend 3 rims and explode the top of the radiator. i am currently recovering from multiple back & neck injuries, including two crushed vertebra and nerve damage causing loss of function and tremendous pain. i received your recall notice on the accelerator cable & casing 3 1/2 weeks after the accident. i think you should have issued the recall more expediently. thank god my children weren't with me!*ak

The power windows are very slow going up and down. first started on passenger side front but is now all windows. had it into shop several times and they just greased them and they work better for a couple of months. also, airbag never opened during collision a couple of years ago, but the airbag compartment slightly opened up on one side and the cover is slightly raised on one side. *la

Stator failed @ 70-75mph in interstate traffic with no warning!! just heard a loud pop! and then no power at all!! no power to the bike whatso ever. happened again after replacing stator....500 miles later! again no warning, just a loud pop and no power whatsoever. only this time i was on a back road there is no way this isn't a safety issue! the rectifer/regulator on this motorcycle is the same part# that is under a recall notice by suzuki. why these bikes weren't included is a mystery to me?? the electrical system has been a weak link with these bikes since their enception. but in 05 when they switched from carbs to fuel injection it has became a lot worse. there are some with as many as 7 stators that have been ibstalled on one motorcycle. i personally have gone through 4 myself. hopefully if enough people complain about the danger if nothing else. something will be done.

Smoke and fumes coming thru vents. check engine light keeps coming on. purchased car new 05/06/2008, i have had problem since a few months after purchase. transmission replaced twice and car still slips and hesitates and has cut off twice while in traffic since the transmisssion was replaced. replace serpintine belt whick warranty did not cover. car has 29500 mi. loud squeling noise (this was why i paid to have thebelt replaced because the dealership service center said this is what theoriginal squealing was from) now they are saying thenoise is coming from the tires but stated they did not have time to check it. my car was recently in the service center for 3 weeks because thetranmissiion was bad and the first new replacement went bad during the test drive and they had to put a 3rd transmission inthe car and it still does not drive right. this car is unsafe. i am close to warranty ending and i feel this is why im getting the run arounds by the dealership. car locks and unlocks on its own. car will randomly miss while in drive (engine will rev up when i push the gas peddle with car in drive but will not move) i have to put it in park then put it in drive again to get it to work.

Bought my 2003 suzuki intruder 1500 lc new in may of 2003. not long after had problems with the battery going dead. thought maybe it wasn't fully charged when first put in. it would be too low to start the bike sometimes after bike sat for five or six days. brought battery back to dealer for a load test and was told it was o.k.. still had same problem and was told to bring bike in. they said voltage regulator was bad and replaced it. one week later same problem, but now warranty expired. went back and they said battery was now faulty and gave me a new one. soon after bike started doing the same thing again. will start and run fine for a few days then when out ridding when starting the bike after a stop the battery will be totally dead. told dealer problem still exists and was told to basically find out what's wrong with it myself. *jb

I have a 2006 suzuki forenza with an automatic transmission. for the past few months while we are driving the car shifts out of gear, into another gear, or will not shift at all. we have taken the car into west valley suzuki to have diagnostics and repairs done, they have replaced a transmission sensor, but one week after the repair was done we are still having problems. the issue is intermittent, but we are concerned about the safety of our family that the car would just shift without the driver moving the shifting stick. we have just taken the car back to the dealership and they are saying that there is nothing wrong, and they can't fix anything.

I own a suzuki sidekick 5 speed and it constantly has clutch cable and clutch pedal issues. i have found that the pedal is made out of what i call pot metal (cheap metal) and it is always breaking cost to replace part is about $50 each time it breaks and i have owned the car since 2000 and replace almost 1 a year. the second problem is the clutch cable which i have to replace almost twice a year at a cost of $30-$40 each time. (not to mention the cost of labor) i feel it is a defect and so do other owners i have talked to who have the same problem, it should be something that the manufacturer should be required to fix. the most current incident occurred on 9-1-2005. *jb

At 48,000 miles the timing tensioner went out in my suzuki grand vitara. this has caused complete damage to the entire engine requiring a complete rebuild because of a part that was defective. suzuki has denied responsibility and would not help fix this issue even though they say that their vehicles have zero-maintenance and self-adjusting timing chains. the part clearly failed long before it's rating and need for replacement (60,000miles) and i have found many other people on the web with the same issue (around 500 similar complaints). suzuki has a part or manufacturing issue and this really needs to be looked into for the sake of all consumers out there. *jb

I did receive notice of a recall of the 1999 suzuki grand vitara regarding an problem with the accelerator cable and the plastic casing which attaches it to the firewall. i have had this problem looked at three times at the local suzuki dealership over the past 3 years. the recall letter stated that all suzuki dealerships had the parts in shop and were ready to correct. i have contacted the suzuki dealership and was told that they did not have the parts in house and would need to order them and that they would call when they got them in. i made contact with them on monday, january 11, 2004. the letter of recall specifically stated that all dealership had parts already on hand to care of this dangerous defect. i have waited 9 days to hear from them as they were supposed to call when the parts were in. this is an extremely dangerous recall matter and suzuki has not followed through with correcting this problem expeditiously as their letter stated! *cb

I purchased my 2004 suzuki verona on jan. 30, 2007. from the second day i own it, it has made noise like it was a diesel engine. i was told that the ticking sound coming from the top end of the motor was normal, that it was the self adjusting cam gears. i could hear a rod knocking in the lower end of the motor but no one at the service department could hear it and their trained to hear these type of things. suzuki supposedly rebuilt the top end of the motor but the ticking continued. they then were supposedly to have replaced the short block ( the lower end of the motor) but the rod continues to knock to this day. the car has died at speeds between 35 mph up to 70 mph. it died one day as i was making a left hand turn and i was barely able to avoid being broad sided by an on-coming vehicle where my mother could have been injured or killed. the car also surges forward sometimes when trying to stop or sitting still. it dies sometimes at take off causing me to nearly be rear ended quit a few times. i sued suzuki for breech of warranty and even though i did not get awarded what they should have had to pay, they did pay, admitting guilt. suzuki lies about work performed, they avoid doing work that is necessary. and then they deny all previous lies that they have told. and they claim to have one of the best warranties in america. *tr

 1. i purchased a 2005 suzuki forenza on may 18, 2005. from the first month of owning the car the passenger back wheel had been trembling. i paid over $600 replacing tires and napleton suzuki could never find what was wrong. 2. on may 5, 2006, i was driving my car and the passenger back wheel broke, and the strut, axel, and barring broke. i had to pay $1033.00 out of pocket expenses because suzuki would not cover what happened under my warranty that i paid $2500 when purchasing the car. my car was in no accident and suzuki would not hear me out. 3. nothing has been done to fix my problem, suzuki sent me questionnaire to complete and that was it. *nm
