I'm the original owner of the the 2007 xl7. i purchased my vehical in july of 07 and i have had nothing but problems and countless repairs. i have to drive my car alot with 5 active children so i'm out of warranty. the first issue started with the electrical system at about 50k miles the system would shut down and lock you in the car this was the computer that wasn't covered under the power train warranty so it was out op pocket cost of about 1100.00 dollars. i got the corp office to pay half after putting up a fuss. then the check engine light came on right afterwards and have pretty much stayed on and it keeps telling me the gas cap is loose which it's not but i purchased another gas cap but still same issue. i then had problems with the power steering hard to turn and making a loud noise which was another out of pocket expense of about 500.00 and about 70k miles.my windshild wiper pump stopped working all the sudden. it would work on the back window but not the front and it has plenty of fluid in it. i have now issues with the timing chains and there are three different chains on the car and all will need to be replaced and this will cost another 2500.00 per the dealership and about 15 to 17 hours to fix. overall this is the worst vehical i have ever purchased and i regreat it daily. the inside is made of cheap materials. my mirrors under the sunvisors fell of within the first two months of buying the vehical. i would'nt wish this nightmare on anyone. this vehical isn't worth it and i'm paying for a vehical that i don't feel safe for driving.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 suzuki xl7. the contact stated that she cannot shift the vehicle out of park. the vehicle was towed to the dealer twice, but the failure has occurred on three different occasions. during one instance, the tow truck driver had to open the shifter case in order to get the vehicle out of park. both the dealer and the computer diagnostic have been unable to duplicate the failure. the failure mileage was 18,000 and current mileage was 18,200.
