| Tl- the contact owns a 2006 toyota 4runner. the contac t stated the bushings on all four wheels of the vehicle have failed. the contact heard noise coming from under the vehicle and started feeling the wheels become very bouncy whenever they hit a bump or pothole. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told all four bushings or the stoppers needed to be replaced. the dealer also bounced the vehicle up and down and you could hear the suspension making a squeaking noise. the vehicle is out of warranty and the manufacturer told the customer the failure occurred because of a lack of driving the vehicle. according to the contact the maintenance section of their manual states the bushings do not need to be checked until 100,000 miles. the manufacturer also stated this is not a problem that they have had with other vehicles. the failure mileage and current mileages were 23700.rl | |||

| Dt*: the contact stated while driving 30 mph, the entire vehicle shook. the dealership inspected the vehicle three separate times. on one occasion, the tires were checked and balanced. the vehicle drove better for a short while, but the shaking persisted. | |||

| I have a steering problem on my 2006 toyota 4runner v8 sport model, 9191 miles. while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle wants to veer from side to side and is difficult to keep in the proper lane. the dealership and toyota district rep have inspected the vehicle and suggest that this is normal behavior for the vehicle and no repair is necessary. i feel that this is a dangerous problem and should be corrected. *jb | |||

| 2006 toyota 4runner sport, 4.0l 4wd. vibration felt via steering wheel, which occurs during accelleration/deaccelleration and across wide speed range. higher frequency, low amplitude quality. felt when vehicle is traveling in straight line, but has changed speed and is felt when steering wheel is turned slightly off center as in small course corrections. when accellerating or deaccellerating, there seems to be resonant feedback felt through the steering wheel as if there is directing contacting the steering rod. dealer attempted to correct with an alignment of the frontend and rotation and balance of the tires/wheels. the result is that the original sensation is still present and the corrective attempt was not effective. | |||

| I recently purchased a new 2006 toyota 4 runner. i have had nothing but motor transmission, electrical failures. i have only had my vehicle for 1 month and anything and every thing has gone wrong. i even had to give my daughter cpr on the side of the road due to carbon monoxide inhalation. she went into respiratory failure do to this she has severe asthma. *jb | |||
