Service engine and many other trouble indicators at the same time. trouble found for $80.00 loose gas cap. day's latter found gas cap strap missing. return to dealer who said the strap is what cause the poor seal so the tech removed it (as this happens all the time). ask to purchase a replacemt strap - not available. purchased new gas cap which comes with strap (a 2 cent item) cost $25.00.total cost for a known problem $100. toyota knows about the little problem for most or all of its vehicle and has done nothing to correct it. it is a money maker for the dealers who never suggest looking at you gas cap. they connect it to anylizer for $80.00. remove the strap and send you on your way. shame shame shame

2007 toyota avalon lunged forward and driver thought he had been hit from behind and knocked out he thought by a concrete wall but he hit another car. a woman, not wearing a seat belt and air bag did not deploy, was killed. man, my husband was convicted of felony manslaughter naming the vehicle as a deadly weapon. because toyota did not report safety issues we rented this vehicle and if we had known we would not have rented the vehicle and my husband would be at home instead of prison, no drugs or alcohol were involved as originally charged but tests prove differently. i know i am not supposed to give personal information but i need help. my name is linda pugh 281/575-8342 or 281/690-8055. no attorney wants a case that has a conviction, they want cases that settle out of court with little effort. your agency is getting paid fines from toyota, others are being compensated while we suffer because the car was a rental and the dealership denied access to the car by our attorneys and ourselves. we did not even get our personal belongings. we need help. is there no help for us or are our lives expendable?

I was approximately 2 1/2 cars length apart from the car in front of me. when i saw the traffic light begin to change from yellow to red, i quickly put on my brakes, but the car did not slow down or stop; it accelerated instead. i kept my foot all the way on the brake pedal, but the car still did not slow down or stop. i brace myself for the impact because i knew that it was unavoidable to hit the car in front of me. it finally stopped when it struck the car in front of me.
