| Dealership says the water from the stopped up a/c drain caused the electrical short and it will cost almost $800.00 to repair. i do not have $800.00. the mechanic told me the airbag could possibly deploy without notice and that puts everyone at risk when driving or riding in the car. it does not have an on/off switch and the dealership said that they could not deactivate the air bag. i transport children in my vehicle and i am very worried about them and anyone else including myself riding in the car. please advise.*ak | |||

| Air bag light has been looked at numerous times now that my regular warranty has expired, i had to look at my extended warranty for coverage and they do not replace air bag sensors. they supposedly fixed it at 30,000 miles but it reoccured at 45,000 miles. now they say they will pay for the part but not the labor. shouldn't this be paid by the manufacturer completely since it is a safety factor? | |||

| Airbag light flashed on/off back in aug. 2003. i took it to the dealership to be repaired and thought that was the end of the problem. almost a year later in july 2004 my airbag light started flashing on/off again, i then returned it to the dealership where once again it was fixed or repaired now, two months later i'm having again the same problem. i don't think toyota knows how to fix this issue and it's a real concern to think that if there's a possible accident or inncodent the air bag(s ) may not deploy. i'm frustrated with this problem and am filing a complaint in hopes that maybe someone will listen or pay attention. this could get to be a costly issue that never gets resolved. i know i'm not the only person to have filed a complaint about this issue. this is a defective vehicle with a frustrating problem.*ak | |||

| Passenger air bag warning light comes on frequently. within the first year, the air bag light came on and stayed on. the dealership indicated that there was a failure with the airbag assembly and replaced the entire passenger seat and assembly. since then, the light just comes on randomly and stays on until i take it to a dealership. each time, they fix something. several of the times, they have told me that the wires underneath the seat come disconnected over time. they then proceed to fix it. however, it seems to happen again within several months. one time, they said it was a loose connector from the steering. all times, the dealership has fixed this without charging me. this last time, the dealership told me that the problem was the loose cable under the seat again, but because the prior problem was not this same thing (e.g. the steering connection), it was not covered under warrantly and i would have to pay $200 to have it fixed. i am very dissapointed. this is obvioulsy a recurring issue. and i'm not the only one having these kings of problems. when will their be a recall of this? it is clearly a safety issue. the dealer is obviously not able to permanently fix this problem (after 6 trys, you'd think they would figure it out). i don't want to have to pay every time i need it fixed. | |||
