 Tl* the contact owns a 2001 toyota solara. the contact stated when entering a parking space she experienced unintended vehicle acceleration. as a consequence, she crashed into concrete wall. her vehicle received $3800.00 worth of damage. the cause of the failure was because of an interference of the accelerator pedal and the floor mat. the failure and current mileages were unknown.updated 10/26/09. *lj updated 10/26/09

 While pulling inside of a parking lot, the vehicle suddenly accelerated uncontrollably without warning. the driver was not able to maintain control of the vehicle. the driver placed both feet on the brake pedal, but the vehicle continued to accelerate into a brick wall. both frontal air bags failed to deploy. the driver sustained head and neck injuries. the vehicle was towed to the dealer. *la the driver is still under doctor's care. *nm

 The brakes had to be pressed to the floor before the vehicle would stop. as a result, the vehicle continued to go through an intersection. *ak on another occasion the consumer attempted to stop, but ended up rear ending another motorist and consequently there was 2,500 worth of damage to the consumes vehicle. *jb

 I own a 2001 toyota camry solara, and my vehicle occasionally surges forward while stopped at a traffic light. this condition has occurred since i bought the car new in 2001. the car feels as if someone has lightly bumped it forward from behind. *ak
