The next day i drove the 2006 toyota corolla down the street and the steering wheel shook extremely badly. i took the car back to precision toyota and asked them if it was out of alignment. the mechanics explained the toyota corolla vehicles cannot be aligned and to go on my merry way. i then continued driving the toyota corolla and made several visits to brake masters and goodyear tire in phoenix az trying to figure out why the steering wheel shook so badly. brake masters and goodyear tire failed to diagnose the problem with the vehicle. once the vehicle accrued 10,000 miles the tires were bald! i took the vehicle back to precision toyota and i got the run around. the service manager told me that this is what happens when a person never rotates their tires. the tires were rotated at least 4 times during this time period at goodyear tires located in phoenix az. i then replaced all 4 tires with a new set. during this time period the steering wheel continued to shake. i then replaced all 4 tires on the vehicle once again. i then went back to precision toyota for help. the service manager at precision toyota told me to never return to the dealership or he would call the police and have me escorted off the lot. i drove away from the dealership very calmly. i remember this day very clearly. i then went home and filed a formal complaint with the better business bureau in tucson az against precision toyota for failing to fix my vehicle. precision toyota responded to the better business bureau that i had tried to run over a sales associate in the dealership

This about a tire called riken raptor's. i now have had this happen twice where the top part of the tire comes off the side walls, it happened in august as well. the tires were perfectly fine as far as air goes as i maintain my car. but for a 2nd one to have happened to me tells me there is a problem and i would hope someone would look into this. i found a thread via goggle that had many of the exact same issue on these tires. michilen is the mfg of them and they just tell people its a case of to little air. how would they know 1st of all and i do know it was inflated correctly. i tried calling the retailer but got no where so trying here so as no one else gets hurt from these tires. i was lucky only a fender liner and minor body damage after it blew of at 65mph. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 toyota corolla. the vehicle has goodyear integrity, size 175/70r13 tires. the inside and outside of the tires were warped. the contact noticed this by first looking at the front tire, which indicated that they were wearing out. the tires were checked, rotated, and balanced. three months later, the front tires wore out. she took the tires to three different places and they all stated that the tires had a manufacturer defect. goodyear stated that she could receive new tires for $39.48 per tire, which did not include the necessary services to replace the tire. she did not accept the offer because the tires were defective. the current and failure mileages were 27,000. updated 01-13-08. *kb updated 01/15/08 *tr

Was driving down an decline in the road and was applying the brake gently due to stop light at the oncoming intersection, which i saw that was red, but it changed to green and i reapplied the gas at this time. then , i heard a great loud noise and this thing was in my face, and i could not see . i knew that i needed to get the car off the road, but i was fighting the airbag to see the road and to prevent me from hitting a car in front, i used my right hand to fight the airbag and my left to steer the car. at this point i was thinking i had passed the intersection which had a small area for flowers or signs, had a 4-6 curb, but when i turned the wheel toward the right to get off the road i ran upon the median( across the curb which was 4-6 inches in height, and this damaged the tire rims . they were bend and damaged the tires , all four went flat. i still managed to get the car to safety without any real injury to myself. i am still in daze with this freak occurrence. i have never experience d anything like this. i would like to hear from others., but mainly i would like to know what caused this. the car had been hit in the rear approximately 6 months prior, in which the whole trunk area and back had to be replaced. could this have been a factor? i really need answers. keep it mind, i have driven this road for 40 years without an accident. i can't understand this with a new car and new tires.*ak
