 Fuel tank protector band on the sub assembly rusted and broke off -.the 2 remaining bolts held. if it would have completely fallen off the car behind us could have hit it and we would not be aware that the assembly to protect the fuel tank was missing. *tr

 Tl* the contact owns a 2007 toyota corolla. the contact stated that the strap that held the heat shield and the fuel tank fractured. the fuel tank and heat shield were attached to the vehicle by a very small portion of the strap. the contact was concerned that the vehicle would possibly catch on fire or explode if driven over a massive road bump. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to determine if the failure was caused by a manufacturing defect. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure who filed a complaint. the failure and current mileage was 53,138.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2007 toyota corolla. the contact stated that the vehicle strap that holds the heat shield and hold the fuel tank was broken and only half of the strap was left to hold the fuel tank. the contact was concerned if the strap was released when the vehicle pass by a bump that could caused an explosion or the vehicle to be cached on fire. the vehicle was taken to the dealer was who stated that they were not sure if it was a manufacturer defect. the vehicle failure was repaired at the contact cost. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the contact with a case number 1208130450 and offered no other assistance. the failure and current mileage was 53,138. lg
