I have a 05 and 08 toyota corolla. both have lost all hub caps. i see corollas all over with multiple hubs missing. this is definitly a defect. believe me they are everywhere missing hubs. these hubs are flying off for no good reason as we are driving down the road. i had one almost hit a person on the side of the road. if it hasn't happened, it will. be warned. toyota really needs to take care of this. i am a structural engineer and know when a piece of equipment is defective

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 toyota corolla. while driving 25 mph, the front driver's side tire and rim completely separated from the vehicle. the driver lost control of the vehicle and it spun out of control. the rim was made of aluminum alloy and one of the spokes failed, which caused a chain reaction with the rest of the spokes. as a result, the tire collapsed. the vehicle was towed to the dealer, but they stated that they did not want to be responsible without even looking at the vehicle. the vehicle has not yet been repaired. the contact believes that the repair should be the manufacturer's responsibility and that a recall should be issued. the vin was unknown. the current and failure mileages were 22,695.
